Description
Book Introduction
“Would you like to book a ticket to Europe?” Collecting my own Europe, dreaming of the day I can leave again. "My European Dreaming Book" will fulfill your travel dreams with excitement and anticipation. When will we be able to travel again? It's been quite some time since we lost our normal daily lives and the freedom of travel due to a virus we've never experienced before. Now that I can't leave even though I want to, I crave travel even more. For those who are suffering from travel sickness and harbor their own longing and romanticism, Youth Glass has stepped forward. Cheongchun Yuri established herself as a romantic travel writer with the publication of “Just Feel This Wind Today” in 2016 and “Walk Through Your Season” in 2019. And in 2021, in this era of contactless travel where we cannot travel freely, we present a new travel essay, "Reserving Europe," where each person can record the travel moments they hold dear in their hearts. Having traveled to 500 cities in 70 countries over the past 12 years, Cheongchun Yuri has encountered countless scenes on unfamiliar journeys. Among them, we have carefully selected the colorful and beautiful moments of Europe that cannot be left out when talking about romance and fantasy. For anyone who dreams of traveling, there comes a time when they miss Europe. The author's delicate writing and emotional photographs, capturing that "moment," evoke vivid emotions and sensations, inspiring hope that we will soon be able to meet Europe again. Moreover, it does not simply stop at the author's story, but also allows readers who are eagerly awaiting the day of departure to collect and record the moments of their longed-for and dreamy travels. This is precisely why you should choose this book among the countless travel essays. Whenever you feel like leaving, you can take out Moments of Youthful Glass and reminisce about your past travels, or plan your future trips while imagining the Europe you will visit someday. Let's put all of 'My Europe', which we cannot meet right now but miss so much that it feels like we can almost touch it, into this book. Here is Europe, a place that is enough to dream about, and that makes you long for and excited just by looking at it. |

Into the book
I don't know why I wanted to live so long, leaving such a wonderful mark on where I've come from, but now that so much has disappeared, I love what I've been given more than ever.
Breathing in the air of Seoul with my face exposed, frequently visiting my parents, watching late-night movies with my husband, drinking heavily with friends, and going on trips that I love the most.
Everything begins with memory and ends with longing.
And then I had hope again.
--- From the "Prologue"
Still, I love Paris.
There are many memories that are named here and there with indescribable words.
I wake up in the late afternoon and take a walk around the Marais district, which is in front of my house, climb up the hill of Montmartre that has become so familiar to me, listen to the buskers, stop by the local supermarket to buy cereal and fruit, and walk down the nameless streets with the famous Parisian croissant in my mouth.
If your legs hurt from walking, it's fun to just take the bus to the Eiffel Tower and look out the window the whole time.
--- From "Our Paris"
The reason I love to travel comes from something very simple.
It's an illusion of being away from the secular world and living in a romantic world, but I don't know if it's reality or an illusion, and I do whatever I want without worrying about what others think.
Not feeling anxious when getting off the train you are riding and walking down the street without a destination.
Being able to choose my happiness at any time.
--- From "Between Escape and Travel"
Although I often traveled alone, I wasn't always alone.
The locals I met on the street, the travelers I met in the dormitory, the companions I found to eat with, and even the other me inside me.
Every day I step out of my little universe and listen to stories from people with diverse values.
I met people who were living their lives by making what some said was the wrong answer their own, and as I reflected on their stories, I silently carved out my own values.
--- From "I Was Not Alone"
I miss the leisurely moment of stopping for a moment while walking down the street and concentrating on someone's song.
The golden time when the sun sets.
I stood on the street, dazzled by voices and sunlight, for a long time, watching someone play, listen to a song, listen to life.
Their voices soon became my journey.
I wonder if he's still singing there.
Or maybe they, like me, are missing that day.
--- From "song for you"
The clinking of spoons in a busy breakfast restaurant, the sound of the traveler in the next bed waking up in the early morning and packing their bags, the sounds of a quiet airport in the early morning, the buzz of people in front of landmarks, the first smells of each country and the smell of lakes and rivers shimmering with light as soon as the arrivals gates open, the smell of a rainy alley, even the smell of an old train bathroom.
If one day I stand before it again, remembering that sound and smell, I want to open my arms wide and embrace it to my heart's content.

Publisher's Review
“There comes a time when everyone misses Europe.”
Unforgettable European moments presented by the moment collector, Cheongchun Yuri.
Even among countless travel writers and creators, Cheongchun Yuri stands out with her unique sensibility, rich and long-standing experience, and active communication.
While the previous work contained the records of a 20-something youth traveling around the world, this book focuses on the reasons why one must travel and the essence of travel, recording the longing and hope for travel that has become even more desperate in today's reality.
Among them, we carefully select scenes and memories of Europe that cannot be left out when talking about romance and fantasy, and convey a deeper sense of emotion by looking at Europe in more depth.
From the moment you fall in love while sitting on the pink beach of Nice at sunset, to the moment you get lost in thought while looking at the sparkling Eiffel Tower, to the moment you feel like you don't have to do anything while watching buskers perform in the alleys of Prague, to the moment you feel your emotions overflowing as you experience the dazzling emerald Mediterranean Sea with all your senses.
Delicate writing and emotional photographs capturing Europe's colorful "moments" evoke vivid emotions and inspire hope that we will soon be able to reconnect with Europe.
The moment is very brief, but the words and photos of Cheongchun Yuri are filled with countless hours spent trying to reach that moment.
Complete your longing for travel with excitement
My one-of-a-kind European dreaming book
Among the countless travel essays, there is something special about "Reserve Europe."
It doesn't just end with the author's travel story; readers who are eagerly awaiting the day of departure can also collect and record their own travels, reminiscing about past trips and dreaming of future ones.
Readers will be able to draw their own European travel plans through the Q&A page where they can recall the longing and romance of travel by answering questions posed by the author, the route page where they can create their own map by writing down their travel route while planning a trip someday, the plan page where they can write down things they want to do, food they want to eat, or places they want to go while traveling, the ticket book page where they can leave impressions by attaching airline tickets or museum admission tickets, and the page where they can create their own playlist that goes perfectly with their trip.
“On the day I planned my trip, I spread out a small map in my head.
As the author says, “I was already traveling even when I was sitting in the cafe in front of my house,” this book also gives readers the experience of going on a trip right now, no matter where they are.
Only of Europe, for Europe, by Europe
The one and only story that will stimulate your travel dreams.
+ Paris, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Porto… Covering over 40 cities
The travel destination that best fits the expressions of romance and fantasy is undoubtedly Europe.
Europe always ranks high among the most popular travel destinations once the coronavirus pandemic is over.
Having traveled to 500 cities in 70 countries over the past 12 years, Cheongchun Yuri has encountered countless scenes on unfamiliar journeys.
Among them, it contains over 40 European cities that will make you want to leave right away, such as Paris, France; Prague, Czech Republic; Budapest, Hungary; Venice, Italy; London, England; Lisbon, Portugal; Vienna, Austria; Dublin, Ireland; and Dubrovnik, Croatia. Just hearing the names of these cities will make you excited.
Discover "European Reservation," a book that will satisfy everyone: those who dream of traveling, those who want to capture travel memories, those who prepare before departure, and those who record the aftermath of their trip.
I hope this book will give you a vivid sense of being in Europe and a full range of emotions, and become a "Europe in your hands," a one-of-a-kind map filled with each person's unique moments.
