"Mom, Let's Go First!" Europe Edition

This is the European edition of "Mom, Let's Go First!", which captured the hearts of tens of thousands of readers and became a bestseller immediately after its publication.
A tall 30-year-old son and his skinny 60-year-old mother embark on an incredible 300-day world tour! While the Asian edition, "Mom, Let's Go!", captures the excitement of the early stages of their journey, "Mom, It's a Happy Ending After All!" goes beyond the Middle East and explores Eastern, Northern, and Western Europe, as well as the diverse landscapes and people they encounter, brimming with the delightful stories of this mother and son.

What makes the two mothers' European trip most different from their Asian trip is that they tried 'couchsurfing', where they visited locals' homes, slept, ate, and talked, allowing them to experience the local culture with their whole body.
Couchsurfing is a non-profit community of backpackers from around the world. While the basic concept is to provide free accommodation, its main goal is to create new friendships that transcend borders.
Currently, nearly 5 million members use this community to exchange cultures. Those who invite strangers into their homes are called "hosts," and those who receive the invitations are called "surfers."

"Mom, It's a Happy Ending After All!" begins with Morocco and Turkey in the Middle East, then delves into Eastern Europe, including Bulgaria, Serbia, and Kosovo, before moving on to Northern Europe, including Finland, Sweden, and Norway, and finally ending in Western Europe, with its familiar destinations of Italy, Spain, and France.
The episodes of a son and mother who painfully realize that their trip does not go as planned strongly capture the eyes and hearts of readers.

In the Asian edition of "Mom, Let's Go First!", "Mom's Travel Notes", which received much attention and support, is also a standout feature.
This special page, which contains a mother's heartfelt words and a son's photos, is filled with such emotion that it will bring tears to your eyes at times.
Additionally, the outstanding photos that make the travel episodes even more vivid add to the power of this book.

Into the book
“Huh? Mom, our flight isn’t showing up on the schedule monitor.”
“Surely… this is the airport? I thought there were two airports in Alexandria?”
Even though it was definitely the right airport, my mom's words stung me and I looked at the printed flight ticket again.
Alexandria Borg Al Arab Airport.
This is the right place.
There is about an hour left until check-in time.
Flights departing later have already been displayed on the departure and arrival schedule monitors, but there is no news about our flight.
---From "Where the heck did our plane go?"

Between my mother's and my laughter, and the cheers of my fellow travelers, I hear the sound of a train coming in.
As each day passes, Mom is becoming a high-level backpacker recognized by travel experts.
As we were lying down in the sleeper compartment we had reserved, some travelers who recognized my mother passed by, excitedly tapping on her bed.
Mom waves to them with a bright smile.
I couldn't see the face because it passed by quickly, but I could hear someone shouting softly in my ears.
“Your mom is truly the best traveler!”
I admit it.
I'm so lucky to be backpacking with the world's greatest traveler!
---From "Mom is a Real Backpacker"

“Yes, I’m traveling around Europe alone.”
oh my god.
I never dreamed that these words would come out of my mouth while traveling.
What an unfilial and ungrateful bastard.
You're traveling alone, leaving your perfectly fine mom behind! But I have my say.
It's already been 7 months since I started traveling.
It means that he has been traveling alone with his mother for over 200 days.
That doesn't mean I have to give up on every traveler's dream of finding romance while traveling.
No, I don't want to give up.
Even if you point a finger at me and say I'm cheeky, I'm still a hot-blooded 30-year-old who can't help but follow the blonde beauties with my eyes.
---From "20 Minutes of Love"

“Wonjun, don’t worry too much.
That could happen while traveling.
“Why are you doing that?”
“That’s not it.
"I'm just annoyed! Mom, don't worry about it!"
It was such an agitated reaction that even I was taken aback.
But mothers don't react that much to their children's irritation.
This must have happened more than once or twice while raising them for several decades.
I don't want to admit it, but the easiest person for children is their mother.
A child is one who gets angry at his mother even when he is hungry, and one who gets angry at his mother even when his love life fails.
---From "What does Mom know? Mom knows everything!"

"Mom, Let's Go First!" Europe Edition Finally Released!

The European edition of "Mom, Let's Go First!", which captured the hearts of tens of thousands of readers and became a bestseller immediately after its publication, has finally been published.

This book has been receiving a lot of attention from the publishing industry as well as numerous media and broadcasting companies, to the point that inquiries have been pouring in even before its publication.

The Hat of Advancement, 'Couchsurfing' all over Europe
Travel properly between people!

What makes the two mothers' European trip most different from their Asian trip is that they tried 'couchsurfing', where they visited locals' homes, slept, ate, and talked, allowing them to experience the local culture with their whole body.
'Couchsurfing' (www.couchsurfing.com) is a non-profit community of backpackers from all over the world. While the basic concept is to provide free accommodation, its main goal is to create new friendships that transcend borders.
Currently, nearly 5 million members use this community to exchange cultures. Those who invite strangers into their homes are called "hosts," and those who receive the invitations are called "surfers."

Starting with 'Philip' in Casablanca, Morocco, and 'Eunmi' in London, the two hosts met 40 hosts from over 30 countries and got a taste of the local culture.
I also experienced things I would never have imagined if I hadn't met the locals, such as risking my life rock climbing and hiking, mushroom hunting in the remote mountains, and climbing the bell tower of a century-old church.
In particular, the process in which the author's mother and the hosts' mothers, who do not speak English, become friends by communicating in their respective native languages is heartwarming and moving beyond laughter.
The book also introduces an episode where the hosts who had invited the two mothers on their trip returned to Seoul as surfers, and the emotions of that time are clearly felt in the mother's words.

“Wonjun, I thought the trip was over, but a new journey awaited us.
“I am a truly happy person who lives looking forward to the days ahead.”

300 days, 50 countries, over 100 cities!!
The world tour of a hat ends with a happy ending!

"Mom, It's a Happy Ending After All!" begins with Morocco and Turkey in the Middle East, then travels through Eastern Europe, including Bulgaria, Serbia, and Kosovo, before moving on to Northern Europe, including Finland, Sweden, and Norway, and finally ending in Western Europe, including Italy, Spain, and France.
The episodes of a son and mother who painfully realize that their trip does not go as planned strongly capture the eyes and hearts of readers.
Problems started at the airport where I entered to go to Morocco.
I had a plane ticket, but there was no plane at the airport I arrived at.
The son was stamping his feet wondering if he would ever be able to leave Egypt and set foot on a new continent, but his mother was just relaxed, saying that there was no way the plane would take off.

After many twists and turns, they finally arrived in Morocco, where the Muslims' greatest religious ritual, Ramadan (the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, during which Muslims must practice strict fasting during daylight hours) had begun, making it difficult to even eat a sip of water or a spoonful of rice.
So the two hats hid in ATM booths and back alleys, pretending to be beggars, and filled their bellies.
Their journey, which was unpredictable, encountered another obstacle as they entered Eastern Europe.
Although I had come to Eastern Europe, I knew nothing about the cities I had visited.
So, the son ran out to his couch host's house, set up a bed in a hostel with strong Wi-Fi, and started studying at an untimely rate while putting his head together with his mother.

Meanwhile, Mom was taking on the appearance of a long-term traveler in Sinaburo.
A sixty-year-old traveler, she was sitting at a train station, dozing off, and was the center of attention of all the backpackers around her.
Even after boarding the train, travelers who came looking for Mom's sleeping compartment all shouted out in unison:
“Your mom is truly the best traveler!”
Readers of this book, which is filled with both cheerful laughter and emotion, will be able to vividly feel the mother's cheers as she is captivated by the myriad beauties of Turkey, the mother's tears and sighs in the countless graveyards of the Balkan Peninsula, including Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, scarred by civil war, the mother's hunger as she tears bread while lamenting the waters of Northern Europe, and even the mother's heartbeat as she stands at the westernmost tip of the Eurasian continent, at Cape Roca in Portugal.

'Mom's Travel Notes', which received much interest and support in the Asian edition of 'Mom, Let's Go First!', is also included in this book.
This special page, which contains the emotions of a mother on a trip and the son's emotional photos, is filled with such emotion that it will bring tears to your eyes at times.
Additionally, the book is enriched by the outstanding travel photos that make the travel episodes even more vivid.

“When you travel for a long time, your worries about the world disappear.
I think it's because today, not tomorrow, is important." _ From Mom's Travel Notes
