Into the book
If you take things easy, you can escape from conflict and worry.
I think it's the most important first step in how to behave.
Actually, I'm also impatient, and I always think about that.
As leisurely as a cat.
--- p.28 Monk Bogyeong
I draw a lot of cats, but I've never drawn my own cat.
I don't draw it because it's hard to draw it objectively because it contains a lot of emotions.
I think my feelings need to cool down.
So most of them are other people's cats.
--- p.61 Painter Noh Seok-mi
Cats don't drink enough water, which can be detrimental to their health.
One day, I gave him water in a glass bowl and he drank it well.
We created it by taking advantage of that point in the design.
I wanted to give it the functionality cats love in simplicity.
If cats like light and shadows, then it's my job to make them as clear as possible.
--- pp.79-80 Studio Olive
I think it shows us firsthand what basic needs and actions we need to take care of.
It's like when your mom pats you on the back and says, "You have to eat and then work."
Humans are easily discouraged and become small, but cats seem to calmly go about their business with an indifferent expression.
When you're feeling down, look at cats and eat delicious food!
--- p.97 Illustrator Nam
If you watch cats, you'll notice that their interests change constantly as they age.
On the other hand, architecture is fixed.
I don't think that's a good way to set it up.
I think that the role of architecture is to create an environment where people can focus more on and take better care of themselves.

Publisher's Review
〈Bear〉 is a human magazine that introduces people who do happy things.
Each issue features a topic and hears stories from people working in that field.
Is it possible to make a living doing what you love? You can delve deep into the romantic world of work you've vaguely imagined.
〈Bear〉 contains vivid episodes from the field and honest stories of interviewees.
〈Bear〉 hopes that more people will become happy through work.
Learn from cats!
The story of butlers who filled their lives with cats.
In Bear No. 13, we meet butlers who live with cats in various ways.
Monk Bogyeong, musician Kwon Jin-ah, illustrators Momocho and Nam, pet supplies brand Studio Olive, and stationery brand Olight.
And even 21 Grams, which designed a pet funeral home, and activists from animal rights group Kara.
I asked about what kind of being a cat is and what I learned from cats.
As if caressing soft fur, you can encounter lovely moments contained on each page.
What did the butlers learn from the cats?
If you take a step back and remain calm, you will soon find yourself quietly touching the tail.
Cats don't try hard to please anyone.
It's just a matter of watching quietly.
When I see a cat like that, I feel like it lives on the other side of the world.
Watching you leisurely stroll through many relationships, I feel like I hear a comforting message: “It’s okay to live leisurely.”
People who are an inspiration to some, teachers from whom we learn wisdom, and people who are our profession and family.
In this episode of "Bare," we sneak a peek into the various gaps between people, including those in art and religion.
We took a tour of the studios of artists and illustrators who fill their canvases with cats, musician Kwon Jin-ah of Antenna, and a cat chasing a monk at a temple on the western shores of Suncheon, South Jeolla Province.
A bookstore filled with only cats, cat products made with care, and even a deep look into pet separation and social issues.
You can meet stories told by cats who live in relationships as diverse as the various butlers.
We deliver the warm energy of cats to all readers.
