Siwoo's mom pairs up with Mongi, a puppy who's on his way to meet Seung-i's friend, Yeondu. What's Mongi's story behind boarding the train? Will Siwoo's mom be able to deliver Christmas presents to Siwoo, and Mongi to Yeondu? And what Christmas presents are these two children so eagerly awaiting?

It expresses in delicate language that children need constant support and warmth from those around them to heal their emotional wounds.

Publisher's Review
A miracle created by a fervent heart
A gift from the Sky Village on Christmas Day

The story of "A Package from Sky Village on Christmas Day" begins when Si-woo's mother and her dog Mongi come to the world where Si-woo lives to deliver a Christmas present.

Ten days before Christmas, a new friend named Yeondu transfers to Siwoo's class, but for some reason, Yeondu doesn't say anything at all.
Siwoo, who is paired with Yeondu, decides to wait until Yeondu opens her heart on her own.

Two days before Christmas, Siwoo's class has a time to introduce 'special friends to whom you would like to send a Christmas card', and at this time, Siwoo introduces the friends from Sky Village that he met when he went to deliver a package to Sky Village (the story of 'The Package that Went to Sky Village').
Yeondu, who was listening carefully to Siwoo's presentation, begins to open her heart to him little by little. Siwoo, who is in a good mood, sees Yeondu's back on the way home from school and runs towards her in joy, but ends up frozen in the middle of the crosswalk.
A year ago, Siwoo's mother passed away in a car accident at a crosswalk, and since then, Siwoo has been suffering from the trauma of not being able to cross the crosswalk alone.
In Siwoo's eyes, the black horizontal lines on the crosswalk look like a deep cliff, and he feels like the monsters living inside are trying to eat him.
When Yeondoo realizes that Siwoo is in danger, she shouts Siwoo's name with all her might, overcoming the pain that feels like her throat is being cut with a knife.

Fortunately, Si-woo is able to cross the crosswalk safely while holding Yeon-du's hand, and Yeon-du also tells Si-woo the heartbreaking story of how she had to part ways with her dog, Mongi.

In "A Package from Sky Village on Christmas Day," Si-woo and Yeon-du share their wounds and pain together and move forward hand in hand, step by step, in a touching way.
Also, the sight of those around the two children silently cheering and waiting for them as they struggle to overcome their fear and pain leaves a deep resonance.

Siwoo's mother, who watched with a heavy heart as he crossed the crosswalk, leaves him an unexpected Christmas present. What gift did Siwoo receive from his mother? And what precious packages did the Sky Village residents deliver to their loved ones in this world?

This work leaves a deep impression with the warm and strong voice of author Kim Kyung-mi, who hopes that all the Siwoos and Yeondus in the world will receive love and support, and the illustrations of author Kim Mu-yeon, who vividly capture the pure and innocent appearance of children.
