Publisher's Review
As of 2021, Korea is in a transitional period from an aging society to a super-aged society. Nursing homes have become a vital place for seniors in need of physical and mental support. Therefore, guidelines for providing quality care services have become essential.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 pandemic that began in early 2020 has served as an opportunity to strengthen awareness of the importance of systematic operation and safety management, including infection control, in nursing homes where vulnerable elderly people live in close proximity.
As a result, nursing homes have evolved from being mere residential spaces to providing professional care services, and the level of staff involved must also match this.
The Nursing Home Guidelines are designed to provide practical assistance to nursing home staff.
I hope that this book will convey the author's and publisher's sincere desire to be of help to nursing home staff and those interested in geriatric care. I also hope that this book will serve as a guide for staff and contract doctors working in geriatric care facilities across the country.
