People living in Heungnam Villa don't care who lives above, below, or next door.
However, they are just caught up in complaints and prejudice about who is making noise and who is walking around without saying hello.
Then one day, out of nowhere, a rat commotion breaks out in the quiet villa.
To be precise, it is a hamster escape commotion.
A rattling, clanking sound is heard from the ceiling, and news arrives that the hamster Jaemin raised in room 202 has escaped.
In a villa already rife with mutual distrust and dissatisfaction, a hamster is running around the entire villa through the pipes, and as time goes by, the dissatisfaction of the villa residents increases more and more, such as the old man in room 102 who wants to put rat poison in the villa right away and the newlywed couple in room 301 who are nagging that they should move because it is dirty and noisy.
Seon-gyu comes up with a brilliant idea to quell these complaints, but how can he both catch the hamster and bring harmony to the neighbors at the same time?

Publisher's Review
“The inconvenient neighbors, the people of Heungnam Villa, have all gathered together!”
If you look closely, it's a story about a neighbor who is full of affection!

Seon-gyu, who lives in unit 201 of Heungnam Villa, hates this villa.
I hate passing by the villa because of the old man who lives downstairs who nags me every morning for not saying hello, and the lady who comes up to me at the slightest noise and yells at me to be quiet.
The newlywed couple living upstairs always snort and say “Honey~” in a sweet tone, but that’s all.
I don't care about other people, and I only heard that Miss Bong, who lives next door, goes to a beauty salon, but I don't know anything else about her.
One day, an incident occurs to the people of Heungnam Villa, which is so desolate that it would be sad to say it is second to none.
Seon-gyu enters the house and starts hearing strange sounds coming from the ceiling.
Seon-gyu, who is confused as to whether it is a ghost or a thief, immediately runs outside and is so happy to see the downstairs woman he hated so much that he almost hugs her.
Seon-gyu's parents, who just got home, laugh and say that there are no ghosts in this world, but when they go into the house and come out scared by strange sounds, they are just like Seon-gyu.
From then on, the people of Heungnam Villa began to gather one by one to investigate the source of the strange noise.

"Starry Neighbors" is a cheerful and heartwarming story about neighbors who were previously indifferent but start to look into each other's apartments to say hello, ask each other's names, and become interested in each other because of strange noises.
It is a heartwarming fairy tale that gradually opens the closed doors of neighbors' hearts as they realize that even neighbors who appear incomprehensible on the outside have their own reasons and warm human nature when you look deeper.

“Can you please walk quietly?”
“Young people these days have no manners!”
A heartwarming ending to a common complaint between neighbors!

The woman who lives downstairs from Seon-gyu's house follows him to his house every day.
Even if I close the door a little loudly or drag my sneakers slightly on the stairs, the woman opens the door slightly and yells at Seon-gyu to be quiet.
Seon-gyu glances at the woman to see if her ears are really big, and even suspects that her hearing might be the best in the world.

As the number of people living in apartments or villas increases, noise between floors is becoming a social problem.
There are more and more neighbors who are so sensitive to even the smallest noise that they seem to be making a fuss downstairs, and Seon-gyu, who appears in "My Neighbors", also thinks that the woman downstairs is overreacting.
But it turned out that the sick man was lying in bed all day at the woman's house, and the woman always asked the upstairs neighbor to be quiet for the man's sake.
The old man who lives next door to the woman, room 102, sits on a chair in front of Heungnam Villa every day and scolds the young people who come and go without saying hello for being rude.
But this was also a misunderstanding on the part of the grandfather.
Since the new groom in room 301 fixed the old man's light bulb, he has been praising young people these days for being smart and even lively.
The people of Heungnam Villa, who I thought were strange at first glance, were actually all warm and affectionate people, and they took care of each other as if they were family.
Author Kang Min-kyung, who wrote this story, said that in these times when communication between neighbors is becoming increasingly dreary, she wanted to show through fairy tales that there are still warm neighbors around us.

“With a plausible reasoning and a groundbreaking four-stage operation,
“Solve the case with a refreshing feeling!”

From the beginning, the people in Heungnam Villa only think about their own position and say what they want to say.
These neighbors are bound together by discontent and indifference.
Before Jaemin's hamster escaped from Seongyu's house next door, Seongyu didn't even know Jaemin's name.
However, when Jaemin starts to cry because the hamster he thought of as his little brother, even naming it 'Tommy', is gone, Seon-gyu, seeing this, slowly opens his heart to Jaemin, remembering his own childhood when he longed for a little brother.
Seon-gyu, who decided to help Jae-min, thinks of a correlation between Jae-min's hamster's escape and the strange noises echoing throughout Heungnam Villa, and begins searching the Internet, taking into account the hamster's habits.

As a result, a four-step operation is devised to rescue the hamster. They include covering sunflower seeds, which the hamster likes, with sesame oil, hitting the ceiling with a stick, and bringing in Miss Bong's cat, Mango, to make sounds.
But when all these efforts come to nothing, he strongly shouts that the villa people must all work together to catch the hamster.
It was none other than Seon-gyu's idea that brought the people of Heungnam Villa together, but in a way, it also served as a lesson that it is difficult to survive without helping each other, even if you live under the same roof.
Although no method worked, the story shows that when the villa residents all cooperated and showed a sense of cooperation, things could be resolved smoothly if neighbors helped each other and joined forces.
