The textbook, "Standard Korean for Elementary School Students," is a workbook for "Standard Korean for Elementary School Students," published in February 2019 in accordance with the 2017 Korean Language Curriculum Revision Notice.
After sufficiently studying Korean using the textbook “Standard Korean for Elementary School Students,” I used the workbook textbook to review what I had learned.


Following the main textbook, the practice book also includes cute illustrations, games, and various activities that are familiar to elementary school students, making studying more enjoyable for students.
In particular, the illustrations capture not only interesting stories but also real-life scenes from Korean life, school life, and the daily lives of peers.
Even friends who are still unfamiliar with Korean language, Korean life, and Korean culture will be able to approach you in a comfortable and familiar way.

Workbook for Standard Korean for Elementary School Students

Based on the textbook structure of "Standard Korean for Elementary School Students," a total of 11 volumes were published: "Communicative Korean for Lower Grades" (Levels 1-4), "Communicative Korean for Upper Grades" (Levels 1-4), and "Learning Tool Korean" (Grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-6).

"Communicative Korean for Lower Grades", which teaches Korean needed for daily life, is for elementary school students in grades 1-2, "Communicative Korean for Upper Grades" is for elementary school students in grades 3-6, and "Learning Tool Korean" is a textbook for learning Korean needed for school life and academic studies.


The 『Standard Korean for Elementary School Students』 textbook is divided into "Communicative Korean for Lower Grades" (Levels 1-4) to develop the Korean language skills needed for everyday life, "Communicative Korean for Upper Grades" (Levels 1-4), and "Learning Tool Korean" (Grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-6) to further assist in school life and academic learning.
Accordingly, the practice books were published in a total of 11 volumes, including “Communicative Korean for Lower Grades” (Levels 1-4), “Communicative Korean for Upper Grades” (Levels 1-4), and “Learning Tool Korean Practice Book” (Levels 1-2, 3-4, 5-6) according to the composition of the main textbook.


“Communicative Korean,” which cultivates Korean language skills necessary for daily life, is divided into “Communicative Korean for Lower Grades” (Levels 1-4) and “Communicative Korean for Upper Grades” (Levels 1-4) considering the cognitive development stages of lower and upper elementary school students.
Levels 1 to 4 of “Communicative Korean” are categorized according to the level of Korean language proficiency.
The lower and upper grade textbooks have the same Korean language level classification, but because the cognitive development stages of lower and upper grade students are different, there are differences in the activities that apply the Korean language content learned.
For example, lower grade textbooks contain activities and games familiar to lower grade students, and upper grade textbooks contain activities and games familiar to upper grade students.
“Communication Korean for Beginners” is for students in grades 1 and 2, and “Communication Korean for Seniors” is for students in grades 3 and 4.
"Learning Tool Korean" is a textbook for learning Korean that will help with school life and academic studies, and is divided into grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6.
