Humility is not something that comes easily.
It can only be achieved through a long and fierce battle with our sinful nature.
Therefore, humility is truly a precious treasure.
If you calmly follow the path this book leads, you will eventually obtain the precious treasure of humility.

Humility is not something we bring to God or something God gives to us.
It is simply the consciousness that we are utterly nothing.
This kind of consciousness arises when we see that God is truly all-powerful, and it is within this consciousness that we acknowledge that God is all-powerful.

If humility is the root of a tree, then the essence of humility will inevitably be revealed in every branch, leaf, and fruit of that tree.
If humility was the first and all-embracing grace of Jesus' life and the secret of his atonement, then the health and strength of our spiritual lives will depend entirely on whether we are clothed with this first and all grace.
Therefore, we should make humility the highest thing we admire in Christ, the most urgent thing we ask of Him, and we should cherish and desire it so much that we seek to obtain it even at the expense of all else.

God is faithful.
Just as water always flows to a low place to fill it, the moment God discovers a person's lowly and empty state, His glory and power flow into that person, lifting him up and blessing him.
He who humbles himself will be exalted.
Our concern should be to humble ourselves.
Then God will exalt us.
He will accomplish it with His almighty power and His great love.

Humility is one of the most difficult things to achieve, and one that requires our utmost effort.
Humility is a grace that comes to us in power only when we are filled with the Holy Spirit and walk with Christ who dwells within us and He lives in us.

True humility arises only when we realize our nothingness in the light of God, and so completely break away from ourselves and cast ourselves aside, allowing God to become everything.
A person who does this and can say, “I have abandoned myself and found the Lord,” will not compare himself to others.
Because in the presence of God, all thoughts of self are forever abandoned.
Such a person regards himself as nothing, and treats his neighbors as those who seek nothing for themselves.
Such a person is truly a servant of God, and also a servant of all people for the sake of God.

One sure test of our holiness is whether we are humble before God and men.
