Into the book
I have traveled to every corner of the globe, except the polar regions, to study the veiled past.
As I explored diverse cultures—from the big cities of Cairo and Bangkok to the remote villages of Peru and Bolivia, from ancient Tibetan monasteries in the Himalayas to the Hindu temples of Nepal—one theme remained in my mind.
It was that modern people were ready to move beyond the pain and uncertainty that had defined life throughout the 20th century.
Now people were waiting for peace and a better tomorrow.
---pp.13,14

When you ask for something to happen, you are giving power to something you do not possess.
Praying for healing is giving power to the disease.
To pray for rain is to give strength to drought.
---pp.43,44

Think about whatever you would like to experience in your life.
It's good to be cured of your own or someone else's illness, it's good to have a prosperous family, and it's good to find the perfect person to spend the rest of your life with.
Don't ask for anything to happen, just feel it as if it has already happened.
(…) Now, let us be thankful for the changes in our lives when our prayers are answered.
It's not the desperation and thirst that comes from asking for help, but the comfort and liberation that comes from a grateful heart!
---p.47

The moment we open the door to the infinite possibilities of blessing, our inner being changes.
A transformation occurs.
Once change happens, you can never go back to the way it was before.
There is no reason to want to go back.
Why would I want to feel emotions that scratch my heart when I can feel my body getting better?
---p.137

Every day, when we make choices, we should not compare this experience with that experience, but rather focus only on what is before us at that moment and consider its inherent value.
In this way, we plant the seeds that will attract greater beauty into our lives.
If you keep comparing what you actually experience to your stereotypes about beauty, you will miss the beauty of the moment.
---p.161

If feelings are prayers, and we are always feeling, then we are always praying.
Every moment is a prayer.
Life is a prayer! We are always sending messages to the mirror of creation.
It sends signals of healing or illness, of peace or war, of respecting or destroying relationships with loved ones.
What we feel, that is, what we pray for, is returned to us by the ‘mind of God’, that is ‘life’.
---p.186

If we consider prayer as an 'act', then the logic is that if we stop praying, the effect of prayer also stops.
If you think of prayer as simply placing your palms together in front of your chest and reciting a prayer, then prayer is nothing more than a short-lived experience.
But when I think about ancient documents discovered in the 20th century, or the prayers my Indian friend offered for rain, or the stories of the chief monks of Tibetan monasteries, I see that prayer is more than an act.
Prayer is what we are!

“What is prayer and what is not prayer?”
Questions surrounding prayer
The simplest and most empirical answer

95% of humanity believes in the existence of a mysterious force that created the universe and prays to communicate with it.
If meditation is 'listening' to God, prayer is 'speaking' to God.
Since time immemorial, humanity has prayed for health, abundance, and peace.
We certainly prayed earnestly and constantly.
Yet, why are so many prayers left unanswered? Why is the world becoming an increasingly difficult place to live? Could it be that our prayers are misguided?
Greg Braden, a scientist and spiritual leader whose speaking engagements are sought after by the UN, Fortune 500 companies, and leading universities, has spent over 20 years traveling the globe to answer these questions.
From American Indian wisdom to Tibetan Buddhism, from quantum physics to fractal geometry, extensive research has blurred the boundaries between religion and science, revealing the secrets of prayer.
His book, The Lost Secret of Prayer, which compiles his insights and discoveries, is the simplest and most practical answer to all questions surrounding prayer.
This book, which contains the essence of prayer that we lost during the editing of the Bible in the 4th century and the secret of prayer that is sure to be answered, won the gold prize in the Science and Cosmology category of the 2008 Nautilus Book Awards and has become a global steady seller.

“Prayer is an emotion, not an act.”
From ancient religions to modern science
The working principles of prayer rediscovered after 20 years of research

According to Greg Braden, human consciousness and the external world are connected by a specific energy field, and the emotions we feel are transmitted to the external world through that energy field and manifest as reality.
For example, a negative emotion like worry can trigger negative events that lead to more worry, and a positive emotion like joy can trigger positive events that lead to new joy.
Before the Bible was widely distributed, edited and compressed by order of the Holy Roman Emperor in 325 AD, people in ancient times knew these principles of the universe and also knew how to achieve happiness by utilizing the Divine Matrix.
The method was ‘prayer.’
They passed down the truth from generation to generation that the essence of prayer is emotion, not words or actions.
All religions, both Eastern and Western, teach that if you want your wishes to come true, you should not pray for something based on a sense of lack, but rather pray for something based on a sense of fullness, imagining that your wish has already been granted.
Looking at early Bible editions unearthed in the 20th century, Jesus' teachings were no different.

“Do not hide your motives, but ask sincerely, and feel as if you have already received the answer.” (Page 36, Early Translation of the Gospel of John 16:24)

As we moved from the era of the church, where the Bible, which lacked the essence of prayer, held authority, to the era of science, more than half of humanity died in suffering, having lost the way to communicate with God through prayer.
The secrets of prayer have been kept hidden in remote areas, such as Tibetan monasteries nestled in the rugged Himalayas or American Indian villages designated as protected areas.
It was only after the 20th century, when modern scientists discovered the existence of a mysterious energy field connecting consciousness and the universe, that the secrets of prayer began to slowly take shape.
And finally, Greg Braden found the key to the sealed secret.

"In the end, what you say comes true."
For the wounded soul in an age of loss
A Simple but Sure Prayer Guide

Greg Braden has developed a prayer guide based on the secrets of prayer he has restored, designed to help you transform your emotional wounds into wisdom.
The starting point is the act of 'blessing', which gives new meaning to the wound and stops the negative emotions caused by the wound.
When giving a blessing, you must go through the following three steps:

1.
Blessing the Suffering
The first ones to be blessed are those who are hurting and suffering.
Let us pray for healing for all who are suffering, regardless of the extent of their pain.

2.
Blessing the cause of suffering
People do not easily forgive people or events that have hurt them.
But to receive complete blessings, we must truly embrace even those we most hate, and perhaps even harbor anger towards.

3.
Blessing those who witness suffering
The afterimage of bitter emotions remains not only for the injured party but also for those who saw and heard the scene of the tragedy.
Let's wish them luck so that their aching hearts can heal.

When we bless all three objects associated with our wounds, we find beauty even in the midst of our pain.
When a feeling of beauty enters your heart, your wounds will heal and the wisdom to live a better tomorrow will sprout.
The soft and warm emotions that well up within us during the cycle of wounds, blessings, beauty, and wisdom become prayers that speak to the universe.
And soon, as you said, change happens.

“What we feel, what we pray for, is returned to us by the ‘mind of God,’ that is ‘life.’” (p. 186)

Throughout time and space, human spiritual traditions and scientific research have consistently pointed to the lost secret of prayer, yet we have failed to grasp it through the fragmented clues.
But now, through Greg Braden's discovery, we have rediscovered a sacred language that lay dormant for 1,700 years, the simplest and most certain way to awaken our inner power.
In modern society, where the foundations of our faith are shaken and the limits of our patience are tested every day, the secret of prayer we have rediscovered will become a light that illuminates our souls.
