Publisher's Review
The purpose of this book is to share the truth that "Parenting! The Gospel is the way."
Many families are struggling with raising children.
I am confused between what the world says about raising children and what the Bible says about raising children.
Many parents wonder how to raise their children in a way that pleases God.
I'm constantly searching for the secrets to raising children, attending seminars and reading books.
So I wanted to share with you that raising Christian children is rooted in the Gospel.
This book is divided into two parts: Part 1, "Childcare! The Gospel is the Way," and Part 2, "The Reality of Childcare."
In Part 1, we examine God's heart toward His children (Chapter 1).
God has entrusted the responsibility of raising children to parents.
We must become parents who clearly understand God's heart toward our children.
As parents who have experienced the gospel, we want to examine how to raise our children based on the gospel, without being swept away by the world's methodologies (Chapter 2).
Today, the calling and role of parents is taken too lightly.
A parent's mission is not simply to help their children get into good universities or get good jobs and live as citizens of the world.
The mission of parents is to represent God and convey to their children the word of God and the gospel (Chapter 3).
Also, how should parents raise their children in accordance with this glorious calling? There are many topics related to child rearing.
We will look at specific topics such as how to handle a child's heart (Chapter 4), what it means to raise a child with the gospel (Chapter 5), how parents, as the authority in the home, can make their children obey (Chapter 6), and how parents can discipline their children (Chapter 7).
Because the glorious calling of parenthood is a noble mission that cannot be abandoned, parents must grow by learning biblical principles and applying them to their daily lives.
Sometimes we may experience days of frustration as we walk according to the flesh, but Christian parents must walk with the Holy Spirit.
As parents raise their children according to the Holy Spirit, they remove their own sins and become holy (Chapter 8).
Although we sometimes go through difficult times, we experience God's grace, learn the gospel with our children, and become more like the Lord.
The entire process of raising children is a special journey in which both parents and children experience God's companionship.
Part 2 shares the realities of raising children.
The vision for raising children is to 'raise them to be children who love God, love their neighbors, and know how to serve the world.'
Following this vision, we present twelve specific strategies for raising children at home.
Parents will examine how to raise their children to love God (Chapter 9), how to raise them to love and serve their neighbors (Chapter 10), and how to prepare them to be stewards who serve the world (Chapter 11).
This is an example of parenting.
I hope that each family will create a more nuanced and realistic parenting system.
