GeoGebra Bible
Description
Book Introduction
GeoGebra was developed by Professor Markus Hohenvater1 in 2001, and the number of GeoGebra users increased, mainly in Europe and the United States, but GeoGebra remained untranslated into Korean until 2008.
I happened to learn about GeoGebra in the fall of 2008 and was fascinated by the program. Since then, I have been responsible for the Korean translation of GeoGebra.
The motivation for starting to translate GeoGebra's user interface and official documentation into Korean was simple curiosity, but now, unlike back then, I feel a bit more responsibility.
This is because GeoGebra is attracting the attention of many mathematics educators in our country.
GeoGebra's biggest feature can be summed up in one word: free.
In English, the word "Free" means "free" and "gratuitous." As the word suggests, GeoGebra is free for anyone to use to explore mathematics, and is provided free of charge for this purpose.
In that sense, Professor Markus Hohenvater licensed GeoGebra as open source free software.2 Another feature of GeoGebra is its ease of use.
GeoGebra has a simple interface, allows you to input mathematical formulas as they are, and all commands are in Korean, so even users who are new to GeoGebra can easily learn how to use it.
GeoGebra also has built-in features5 that allow you to explore a variety of mathematical areas4, so once you master the software, you can explore a variety of mathematical problems.
This book is the fourth edition of the GeoGebra Bible, written to help you explore mathematics and science and create various materials using GeoGebra Web Edition.
In this revised edition, we have tried to present the content more concisely than in the previous edition.
We also added examples that can be used in university lectures.
In this process, some content was marked as footnotes or deleted.
However, we tried to include almost all of the contents of the previous edition regarding the usage of GeoGebra and mathematical content.
I hope this book will help readers explore mathematics using GeoGebra.
