Mindfulness for Adult ADHD: A Clinician's Guide
Mindfulness for Adult ADHD: A Clinician's Guide
Description
Book Introduction
The approach to ADHD advocated by the author of this book, Lidia Zylowska, can be summarized as the '3W Framework'.
It is 'Whole person, Whole health, Whole life'.
This means that ADHD is not simply a problem of inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity, but a complex disease that affects a person's overall personality development and all areas of life.
Therefore, her philosophy is that multidisciplinary collaboration should be achieved across the entire life cycle, not just in drug treatment, but also in psychosocial and spiritual aspects.

The Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs) program for adults with ADHD, introduced in this book, is an evidence-based psychosocial treatment that addresses precisely these needs. MAPs is a mindfulness-based training program tailored and adapted for ADHD patients. Through a process of education, practice, and self-understanding, it guides individuals on a journey to fundamentally transform how they relate to themselves.

The self-help version of this book, The Mindfulness Prescription for Adult ADHD: An 8-Step Program for Strengthening Attention, Managing Emotions, and Achieving Goals, is available at

Just as the Korean translation of "Attention, Emotions, and Achieving Your Goals" has already received rave reviews, the release of the clinician guideline will allow the MAPs program to open up new possibilities for Korean ADHD patients. MAPs will lead us beyond simply addressing "how to improve attention," but rather to deeper insights into "how we relate to ourselves and live."
