Description
Book Introduction
The main contents and structure of the revised edition are similar to those of the first edition, but the shortcomings of the first edition have been corrected, difficult sentences have been refined, and the latest research in educational psychology has been reflected as much as possible.
In particular, to help with the basic understanding of human development, we have newly written 'Chapter 2: Foundations of Development', and to reflect the recent interest in human emotional characteristics, we have significantly supplemented 'Chapter 4: Personality and Social Development', and to broaden the scope of understanding of human learning, we have newly written 'Chapter 10: A Social Cognitive Approach to Learning' and 'Chapter 12: Learning as a Complex Cognitive Process'.
In addition, in Chapter 14, Learning Motivation, the socio-cognitive expectancy-value theory was added, and in Chapter 15, Teaching Theory and Teaching Methods, teaching-learning principles and the latest teaching methods for school education were added.
Finally, at the end of each chapter, we've added a new "Discussion Assignment" section that addresses various issues that students may encounter in the educational field. This section aims to provide an opportunity to experience how educational psychology can be applied in the field, using collective intelligence, either individually or in groups, based on what students have learned in each chapter.
