Description
Book Introduction
Transactional Analysis Parent Training (TAPT) is a parent training program based on transactional analysis theory, which is recognized as the most effective in changing human relationships.
Since the Korean Transactional Analysis Counseling Association created the instructor guide and parent workbook to conduct the qualification course, many TAPT training sessions have been held, and at the same time, qualification courses for general and specialized instructors have been continuously conducted.
During this process, taking into account positive feedback and efficiency issues through practical application, the 8-session program was compressed into 6 sessions, and the instructor guide and parent workbook were revised.
This revision places special emphasis on children and parents growing together.
In addition, the parenting methods of Jean Clark and Connie Dawson, pioneers of TA parenting education in the United States, were linked to the PAC model, a strength unique to transactional analysis, to make them easier to apply.
Additionally, we aimed to help children actively express their love by learning 'stroke' (an act of acknowledging existence), a behavioral method that can strengthen the intimacy between parents and children.
