'What should I say?'

This is the question that author Goh Jeong-wook pondered and pondered for the longest time while writing the manuscript for the first volume of the Beautiful Words picture book series.
This is because the 'words' we exchange are the measure of how warm and cold the world we live in is.


The sentences in the previous two books, “Kind Words, Strong Words” and “Shining Words, Powerful Words,” were beautiful words that helped children grow in their inner selves and relationships.

The final edition, "Smart Words, Confident Words," takes a step further from "I" to "we."
Children can think about the 'hurt' that can occur when they turn the pages of a book and say certain words.

The beautiful words contained in this volume are for everyone who wants to build good relationships with themselves and those around them through 'wise speech.'
When it comes to ‘speaking’, it is important to convey your thoughts and intentions clearly and distinctly.
At the same time, I wanted to share the know-how of speaking without hurting or misunderstanding anyone.
For example, if you feel uncomfortable with something a friend said thoughtlessly, you can say this:
“I wish you hadn’t said that.” Also, to a friend who only thinks for themselves, you can say, “I understand what you think.
How about saying, "Now, let me hear your thoughts too?" If you practice the sentence in your head once more while writing it, you'll be able to speak without hesitation in everyday situations.

A confident way to convey your feelings to adults politely

Children need words that allow them to communicate politely not only to themselves and their peers, but also to the important adults around them with whom they interact.
We've included 'smart words' to strengthen friendships, and 'confident words' to politely say things you want to say to your parents and other adults around you.
