1.
The magic of four-character idioms in shitty pants!

Sang-gu is a kid who likes four-character idioms.
Saying an idiom at just the right time makes me feel refreshed.
But one day, Sang-gu's stomach starts hurting unexpectedly.
In the end, Sang-gu, who was farting freely, ended up getting shit on his pants.
But when these dirty pants are struck by lightning on the clothesline, something mysterious happens.
The four-character idiom means that you have gained superpowers and have been transformed.
"Poopy Pants, Gain Idiom Superpowers!" is a fairy tale that weaves together two major themes: idioms and emotions, through magical events that unfold around poop-stained pants.
A mistake that could have been simply laughed off becomes the seed of a superpower, and that power soon expands into courage, a sense of justice, empathy, and reconciliation.
In times of crisis, the main characters in the story naturally utter idioms such as 'transformation', 'near death', and 'reap what you sow', and these words have the power to change reality.

2.
Now, try expressing your feelings with four-character idioms!

This book explains idioms in the language of emotions, not knowledge.
The context in which idioms appear is not a set of answers to be memorized, but rather a mirror of emotions that children can empathize with and choose for themselves.
The incompetent older brother, the kind mole, the stubborn friend, and even the inflexible Sang-gu… Each character faces their emotions through idioms, reflects on their actions, and grows little by little.
The appendix contains explanation pages of four-character idioms related to emotions to help you review the words you've learned, and even after you've closed the book, you can think about "four-character idioms that express my feelings" along with the four-character idioms.

If you wear shitty pants, you'll be out of the blue! Everything will go smoothly?!

Ugh.
I just farted... and to make matters worse, I pooped too?! My shit-stained pants got struck by lightning and gained the power of four-character idioms!! Wear shit-stained pants and say four-character idioms to gain superpowers!

“A narrow escape!”

The star-nosed mole gained the ability to fly.

“Unpredictable!”

The useless brother has faster feet than anyone else.

Are you ready to put on your shit pants?
What four-character idiom would you say if you gained superpowers?

Author's Note

How about expressing your feelings with four-character idioms?

Before writing this story, I fell in love with the Star-Nosed Mole at first sight.
I was watching a television documentary while walking on the treadmill at the gym when a star-nosed mole appeared.
He was completely ashen and had an ugly face, but his pink nose was really pretty.

'Someday I will make you the main character.'

I whispered to the television.
Oh! A voice interrupted my holy thoughts.

“Well, I said he’s a worthless bastard, a worthless bastard.”

An old lady's voice on the phone was hoarse.
Who did what to deserve the name "that worthless bastard?" Aren't you curious? It was a day when magnolias were in full bloom outside.
When I look at a magnolia flower, it looks like a boxer's glove with a strong fist.
White boxing gloves hanging in clusters.
Who would wear those gloves? As I thought about that, the story gradually came to me.
As time went by, the various stories and scenes I encountered began to stir and make a fuss in my notepad.
I pretended not to hear him until he screamed to be taken out.
I thought it would look good if you wore 'proverbs and idioms' when you appeared.
Idioms contain deep meaning in short words.
Knowing four-character idioms helps develop literacy and the ability to express oneself appropriately in various situations.
For example, if you know “Woo-gong climbed the mountain,” you can express a person with perseverance in a cool way.
It's a story about how you waited patiently to meet us.
It's a great book that kills two birds with one stone: fun and culture.
Well, shall we quickly turn the pages of the book?
