Into the book
I love you, honey
You love me too
I don't know.
---From "What We Say to Each Other"
It's pretty
When I see someone say that I'm pretty
I am also pretty.
---From "Flower Garden"
Oh, the flowers are blooming over there.
People say that, but
Oh, the flowers over there have withered.
I don't say that
A flower that blooms like that is strong
Being alive is powerful
Beauty is more powerful.
---From "Beauty is Powerful"
It's scary after all
It's not a shark
It's big but
gentle mammals
Southern right whale
Even in broad daylight, both eyes
Light the fire
Charge
It pierces my heart
It seems like it's sending me to the far sea
I guess he wants to take me with him.
---From "KTX"
It's raining today for the first time in a while
clear blue sky
The sky is clear, but too clear
We haven't seen each other in so long
I hope you are well too.
You love me too
I don't know.

Publisher's Review
Poet Na Tae-ju's first collection of poetry for young people, "Goodbye to You Too"
Warm words of greeting to comfort the hearts of young people.
Poet Na Tae-ju is loved by many people for his warm poems that comfort and encourage the heart, including “Wild Flowers.”
Some may wonder why a poet celebrating his 50th anniversary this year has published a collection of poetry for young people, but in fact, he is a retired teacher who has spent many years working with children at school.
I have also met countless young people by visiting schools and libraries across the country.
Whenever the poet gives lectures to young people, he has always thought that reading poetry is the most urgent need for young people who are hungry and anxious, and he published this poetry collection while thinking about the faces of the young people he met across the country.
"Goodbye to You Too" contains 109 new poems that discuss how to share your feelings with loved ones, such as family, friends, and lovers, and how to live with nature, including stray cats, small birds, and flowers.
The title of the poetry collection, "Goodbye to You Too," is also the title of the poem "Goodbye to You Too," which contains a warm heart wishing happiness and well-being to all those far away.
“I love you even when you’re having a hard time, even when you’re sad, my dear.”
A Letter of Communication and Empathy to Young People Living Alone
The world is not so easy for teenagers who are entering a period of emotional instability and chaos.
Because each day is so burdensome, we don't realize that we are precious people, like "a tree that blooms beautiful flowers" ("Flower Giraffe").
“I am definitely a flower too / I was the only one who didn’t know that” (“Let Flowers Bloom”).
To the youth who want to become adults quickly, the poet sends words of encouragement, saying, “Don’t be impatient / trying to become adults too quickly” (“From Apples”) and praying that “you can achieve what you hope and dream of” (“Cheer”), comforting their weary hearts and rekindling the spark of hope.
Beautiful you
You are living
It's beautiful there
Beautiful you
You are smiling
It's smiling there
Beautiful you
You live on Earth
The Earth is blue.
---Full text from "May" (page 84)
The 'today' we live in is not a day that comes every day, but a "first day and a new day," and youth are "new people and first people who must live that new day and that first day" ("Today").
Therefore, the poet urges young people to realize the preciousness of life and live with a wise mind, even if they go down a dark and difficult path.
Above all, I hope you will look at the world with a beautiful heart and keep the mindset of “loving and caring for others as much as you love yourself” (“Be Successful and Happy”).
The poet says that love is “not a heart that is happy to receive, / but a heart that is happy to give” (“Regret”), and that true love is “one that knows how to embrace / and cherish even the scars and stains of a wounded heart” (“Scar”).
Whether you're having a hard time or feeling sad, the words "I love you" said with a warm gaze at any time give you more courage than any other words.
When you are having a hard time
What I'm saying is
I love you, honey
Even when you are sad
What I'm saying is
I love you, honey
When I really want to see you
What I say too
I love you, honey.

“Poetry is about winning someone’s heart.”
Poems written with the heart of a love letter, easily reaching deep into the heart
The poems included in the collection are easy to understand and touch the heart comfortably as you read them.
It clearly reveals the poet's wish for poetry to reach young people in an easy, simple, yet deeply heart-wrenching way.
His poetry, inspired by the world, people, and nature in everyday life, like “picking up discarded jewels on the street,” becomes a comfort in times of sadness and a blessing in times of joy, deeply engraved in the heart.
It's pretty
When I see someone say that I'm pretty
I am also pretty.
---Full text of "Flower Garden" (page 12)
The poet, who has written poetry with the intention of writing a love letter to the world throughout his life, says that poetry is “winning someone’s heart” and “bringing that person’s heart to me” (“Question”).
It is not a coincidence, but a necessity. Whatever I say, it is possible because there is “your ear that tilts its head / and listens” (“Gentle Ears”).
In this way, in the mystery of “you becoming me / and I becoming you” (“Inevitability”), the world “becomes bright like a flower / and bright like a water droplet” (“The Blooming Season”).
“But I will still love you.”
A collection of poems that will serve as a bandage to heal a wounded heart.
“The Poet’s Words,” written in the form of a letter to young people, is also worth reading carefully.
The poet's words that poetry should be "not a luxury but a practical necessity" and "a medicine that saves people" and "a bandage for the heart that heals a wounded heart" are particularly heartbreaking.
The poet, who says that it is most important for adolescents to read poetry, explains in detail in this article why adolescents should read poetry.
On the way
And see the flowers
I also saw the clouds
You meet the wind and stuff
That's exactly what he said
Sounds like poetry to me
Unmatched
It's cheering
Yeah, you too today
And see the flowers
I also saw the clouds
Meet the wind too
Even if it's summer, it's late summer
The clouds in the sky are nice
I'm far away from you too
Send a poem.

Meanwhile, this poetry collection has selected short, concise, yet captivating verses from the middle of the collection.
You will be able to feel the unique charm of poet Na Tae-ju, who can “quickly express” the emotions that surge up.
The poet hopes that when young people enjoy reading “poems that offer comfort, blessing, healing, and inspiration,” the world will be a better, more peaceful, and more beautiful place than it is now.
Poet's words
Poetry is nothing special.
It doesn't have to be small, it doesn't have to be shabby, it doesn't have to be fancy.
The problem is empathy.
It's communication.
Empathy comes from communication.
What poetry needs more than anything today is communication.
That you and I are not two but one, that my problems are also your problems.
We must support each other and allow each other to accompany us.
If that's the case, there's no reason why people wouldn't read poetry.
