Description
Book Introduction
The real Tokyo as guided by the Korean-Japanese couple YouTubers, Bakina Tokyo.

From Omotesando to Hatagaya,
A list of stylish spaces inspired by locals passionate about fashion, interior design, and delicious food.

We both really like clothes, interior design, good restaurants, cafes, etc.
I started YouTube because I wanted to share good places with many people and enjoy them together.
I think that's how you can keep your favorite places for a long time and go back again.
The most important question for us who work during the week was, 'How can we make the most of our weekends?'
I wanted to spend my precious time more enjoyably.
It was fun to visit places that suited my tastes and see and experience things I liked.
As you go, there are some stores you become regulars at and some you stop going to, and I think this reflects your taste.

Into the book
There is a menu that includes stir-fried vegetables topped with an egg and wrapped in a thin wheat pancake.
It also comes with a slightly sweet soybean paste sauce.
Spread soybean paste on the wheat pancake, top with stir-fried vegetables and green onions, and eat it as a wrap.
There were noodles hidden in the stir-fried vegetables.
The pancake is thin, so be careful not to burst it! It was so delicious that we ate it all in our mouths.
The price was 1430 yen.
--- p.25~26, from "Shinjuku - Zuien Annex"

First, draft beer and otooshi (basic snacks) arrived.
The beer comes in a glass slightly larger than 500 milliliters.
The yakitori set was 2200 yen.
It was easy to order because there were 6 different types.
You can choose between salt and sauce flavor, but we are definitely for salt!
--- p.53, from "Shibuya - Toritake"

This is a store that was renovated from an ordinary house. On the first floor, there is a bar where you can drink Scottish whiskey, and on the second floor, which was originally a rooftop, there is a vintage clothing store.
It was an impressive place because the owner had a clear taste and the interior was very unique.
--- p.60, from "Yoyogi Hachiman - Hunchi"

They say this place is one of the 100 best curry restaurants in Japan.
The curry was a little spicy and had a unique flavor.
If you like dry curry, I highly recommend you visit this place.
It was so delicious that we emptied our bowls in 10 minutes.
Please note that the waiting line was still extremely long on the way out.
--- p.92, from "Gitasando - Yogoro"

This store sells 'robatayaki'.
This is food where you order seafood or vegetables and they are cooked right in the oven.
It is said to have originated in the Tohoku region, where seafood is delicious.
There are bar seats where you can watch the food being grilled right in front of you.
When you sit here, the prepared menu is served on a long wooden stick.
--- p.110, from "Nakameguro - Nakameno Teppen Main Store"

They say it's a 100-year-old oden specialty restaurant.
I've been wanting to go for years, so I've been holding out for it.
I went there at 3:30 to match the 4 o'clock opening time, and there were already 5 or 6 teams waiting.
Since Yukina went alone, she sat at the counter on the first floor.
There are many people who come alone.
The counter seats on the first floor are special seats where you can watch the oden being made.
I can see the fish cakes soaked in broth right in front of me.
I ordered it right away.
I ordered tomato oden, which is unfamiliar in Korea.
Tomatoes in warm oden broth are really delicious.
--- p.141, from "Nihonbashi - Otako Oden Main Store"

Sangenjaya is a popular neighborhood for young people in their 20s and 30s.
It always ranks high in surveys asking people where they want to live.
It is also called by the nickname 'Sancha'.
Actually, among my Korean acquaintances living in Tokyo, there are several who live in Sangenjaya.
People who have lived there say it's nice because there are many places to drink at night.
--- p.162, from "Sangenjaya"

The street that extends from Yutenji Station (Yutenji Street) is particularly home to many vintage shops.
This store sells vintage clothes and miscellaneous goods.
I was interested in vintage vases and rugs that had a luxurious feel.
The rug patterns were also cute because they were unique patterns that can only be found on vintage rugs.
It was a unique but cool vintage shop.
--- p.187, from "Yutenji - SEIN"

It's a barbecue area with an ocean view, and you can rent it for 1,500 yen per person.
We each paid an extra 500 yen to rent a good seat.
It's better to make a reservation on the website.
All you need to do is buy the ingredients and all the barbecue equipment is ready.
Chopsticks, plates, and sauces were also provided.
The atmosphere of the barbecue place feels like a beach resort.
I think it will be really pretty at sunset.
--- p.235, from "Odaiba - THE BBQ BEACH in TOYOSU"

Sometimes when my friends come over to visit, they say things like, "It's similar to Seoul," or "There's less to do here than I thought."
If you're thinking this way, I'd like to recommend looking at Tokyo from a different perspective, rather than simply as a "metropolitan tourist destination."
Of course, it is a famous city as a tourist destination, but there are many interesting things to do in every corner of the city rather than just the tourist attractions.
If you choose a theme like exploring the "shitamachi" (old working-class neighborhood) or a vintage travel, you can enjoy a different side of Tokyo.
