The movement of the crocodile and the depiction of water were perfectly expressed with a brush pen that can be drawn thinly or very thickly.
The newly redesigned board book, "The Duck Only Sees Books," has been designed with young readers in mind, with significantly adjusted illustrations, especially the characters, and has been enhanced with more friendly text to enhance its communication.
Just as the duck is absorbed in the book, young readers will also be absorbed in "Duck Only Reads Books."

The story "The Duck Only Reads Books" by Eun-kyung Lee

It was when I was going through a slump while working on my previous picture book.
I didn't leave my desk, but since the drawing wasn't going well, I drew other things I wanted to draw.
Among them, I happened to draw a picture of a duck leisurely reading a book on the water, and I thought that this duck would only read books no matter what.
I thought, 'I need to work as hard as you do...' and that's when Ori told me his story.

I was almost awake while following the duck's path and drawing the duck story.
After completing the thumbnail in such a short time, I thought that this story could be made into a picture book.
Looking back, I was completely immersed when I was creating the thumbnail for "Ducks Only Look at Books."
It was an exhilarating experience.
It was also amazing.
This picture book is also a story about ‘immersion.’

Since becoming a writer, I've always been on the lookout for stories.
Then, sometimes inspiration comes from even the smallest things.
The story is also quite accurate.
Now, I'm creating a story by weaving together pieces one by one like a patchwork quilt.
If you don't give up, you will eventually be able to fill in the empty patchwork.
