Into the book
To make ramen, you need ingredients.
The ingredients that go into ramen are noodles, soup, water, etc.
If you ask children what the ingredient of ramen is, they will often say 'pot'.
But you can't eat the pot.
Adding green onions, kimchi, eggs, etc. to this dish makes it even more delicious.
Even when writing a diary, you need materials to think about 'what to write about.'
This, like the ingredients for ramen, is called 'texture'.
I write a diary using this material called writing material.
Think carefully about what happened today.
You will be able to find good writing material that comes to mind and makes you say, 'Tiyong~'

Children find naming very difficult.
Because there is no practice.
How can you possibly do well without trying? Titles based on the protagonist's name, like "Sister Mongsil" or "The Story of Hong Gildong," or locations like "Lotte World" or "School Playground" don't convey the character's personality.
On the other hand, 'Don't cry, Mongsil-eon'
'You', 'Hong Gil-dong who saved the country', 'Yahoo, let's go to Lotte World', 'The school playground is our playground' are written specifically so the content comes to mind easily.
If you give your diary a specific title that matches the subject or topic, it can become the shining face of your diary.

I learned piano in music class.
The teacher would say, 'strong, weak, medium-strong, weak,' and tell me to play the piano strongly at times and weakly at other times.
The same goes for weather.
I just write roughly about the parts that aren't on the topic.
The important thing is the subject part.
This part needs to be very thorough and detailed.
How to write it is very, very, completely chewy, like writing the order of eating the cup ramen above.
This corresponds to 'strong' when playing the piano.

Children are familiar with multiple choice questions.
Because I have been practicing consistently since I was young.
However, the power to choose for oneself and think for oneself is somewhat lacking.
When learning to write about experiences in a diary, I am very receptive to the teachings.
Because it's just writing down the facts.
So, after writing about my experiences in my diary, I end it with obvious things like, “I shouldn’t do that again” or “I should try harder in the future” that I don’t mean.
It's a lack of thinking power.

Publisher's Review
Parents who force their children to only study
Now, we are developing writing and presentation skills.
Teach them from an early age through diary writing!

Yesterday, Mom, Misu, and I watched the movie [OOO] while eating popcorn, hot dogs, and cola.
After watching the movie, I was going to eat a hamburger, but Misu suggested eating pork cutlet, so I ate pork cutlet.
It's tasteless.

This is a diary written by a third grade elementary school student.
I can't tell if what's important is watching a movie or eating tonkatsu.
It's bland and not fun.
Why did children's writing become like this?
Children are innocent.
It's the fault of adults who didn't teach writing.
Parents are so focused on their children's grades that they focus on studying English and math from an early age, which causes writing to take a backseat.
However, the basis of all studies, past or present, is the study of writing.
Being able to read and understand texts well and express one's thoughts well are fundamental assets for learning ability.

But people find writing burdensome.
Especially students who are just learning to write and have to write a lot are often awkward at expressing their thoughts in writing and are not accustomed to writing itself.
When starting to write, the most recommended genre and one that children seem to find relatively appealing is 'diary writing'.

A diary is a written record of the most memorable experiences that occurred during the day.
Also, write down what feelings and realizations you gained through that experience.
The diary written every day is a photograph of the heart and a small record of one's history.

A diary is not bound by any restrictions on content or format.
So, people who write diaries can freely express their own feelings and thoughts in a unique way.
However, writing down your daily activities haphazardly does not make for a well-written diary.
A diary is the most accessible format for children, but when used well, it is more effective than any other writing practice.

"This is how to start writing a diary" is a book that teaches children the fun of writing through writing a diary and the power of writing.
The author, who teaches writing to children, was unable to find a textbook that was just right for the children's level, so he created his own textbooks one page at a time and taught them.
There were many times when I would lie down to sleep, then jump up and write down a note when a good idea came to me, and then spend the whole day immersed in developing teaching materials.
I went through the textbook manuscript and revised it hundreds of times.
Ten years passed like that, and before I knew it, it was compiled into a book.
A book has been created that summarizes all the key points in the field of 'writing for children'.

Developing thinking and expressive skills
There is a separate way to write a good diary.

Although children often perceive diary writing as a tedious homework assignment, it is actually the most familiar way to introduce them to the world of writing.
A diary has the following characteristics:

1.
A diary is an album written in words.
2.
A diary is a record of a person's history.
3.
Keeping a diary helps develop your writing skills.

Writing about what happened that day and expressing their thoughts and feelings is a great way to cultivate children's emotions and practice writing at the same time.

This book is organized in the order in which you actually write a diary, from 'Finding Writing Inspiration' to 'Thinking' and 'Future Plans'.
By following the book's instructions and writing a diary, you can complete a diary.
The part that you should pay particular attention to is the part that says, 'The topic is emphasized by writing in detail.'
This part, which is the highlight of the diary, should be read with the greatest care.
Mastering the topic writing section will give you the bonus of reading and writing essays, fairy tales, and novels, in addition to writing a diary.

This book covers all areas necessary for writing in the form of a diary, including the reasons and benefits of keeping a diary, deciding on a topic, expressing the weather, choosing a title, emphasizing the topic, writing future plans, learning various methods of expression, creating an outline, editing based on the topic, and creating an outline.

Not only writing and presentation skills,
The power of journaling to improve grades in all subjects

This book contains diaries written by children themselves.
The author shows the editing process of making the writing more concise and better by adding corrections according to the tips for writing a diary, and it is organized so that the writing 'before editing' and 'after editing' are placed side by side so that the differences can be seen at a glance.
'Evaluation' contains the author's opinions and advice on the subject, designed to help readers refer to it when actually writing a diary.

This isn't just a list of tips for writing a diary.
It faithfully conveys the basic principles that you need to know when learning to write, such as deciding on a title, establishing a topic, finding material, determining the length, the 6W principle, emphasis, dialogue, description, paragraph division, topic sentence and supporting sentence, adding thoughts and opinions, conclusion, rereading, and revision, etc., which are essential for any type of writing.

The author strongly argues for the necessity of writing.
When the basic skill of writing is well developed, it becomes easier to understand not only Korean but also other subjects such as social studies, science, and mathematics, and when basic learning ability is improved, it naturally leads to excellent learning ability in all subjects.
Why is that? Because writing is a tool for learning.
Knowing how to write properly means reading properly, and reading properly means reading the textbook correctly.
If you read the textbook properly, your grades will go up.
Therefore, reading and writing, represented by reading and writing, can be said to be essential studies that can improve grades in all subjects.
The basis of studying writing is writing a diary.
For students, writing a diary will be a powerful weapon that will not only improve their Korean language skills but also their learning ability in all subjects.
I hope that through this book, you will experience the true joy of writing a diary.
