Book Introduction
June 10, 2015, a time when YouTube was not yet in its prime.
Seven friends with different personalities and genders, connected by blood ties and school ties, began to gather together under the word "empathy."
Ten years passed like that.
Creating content that can be enjoyed by people of all ages is always difficult, but creator Utso is successfully accomplishing this difficult task more calmly than anyone else.
In the vast ocean of YouTube, there are seven people who ride exceptionally clear and transparent waves, and they have their own unique wave designs.
How did these adults, who have harmless laughter as their greatest weapon, grow up? What difficulties did they have that they couldn't talk about? In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Utso, which still leads YouTube trends with about 2 million subscribers, starting with 'Type' and continuing with the 'Hospital Stay' series, I wanted to tell our real stories that we couldn't tell in front of the camera.

Only then did we realize.
That we need to create our own new color on this platform.
From that moment on, we had to prove ourselves beyond just being 'content creators' on a new stage called YouTube.

If the video we create brings someone's family together, makes them laugh together, and starts a conversation.
Could there be anything more rewarding? I can now clearly see that every moment we create accumulates and ultimately becomes the "value" of our content.
This is why we have been sustainable.
And this is the most obvious reason why I want to continue to make people laugh in the future.

It made me realize that it's okay not to have any special dreams.
In the midst of laughter, I was taught what kind of person I am, what I like and am good at, and how much love I can give and receive.
Living each day fiercely, doing what you love with the people you love, is beautiful in itself.
It's okay if it's not a grand dream you've had since childhood.
That we need to create our own new color on this platform.
