갔다.\u003cbr\u003e신학 교수직을 지금까지 계속하고 있다.\u003cbr\u003e미국은 자유를 정의보다 소중히 여긴다.\u003cbr\u003e정의란 무엇인가라고 물으면 ‘어떻게 하면 더 많은 사람이 행복을 위한 자유를 누릴 수 있는가’라고 대답한다.\u003cbr\u003e그러나 평등의 주체인 정의가 없는 사회도 완전하지는 못하다.\u003cbr\u003e빈부의 격차는 심해지고 경제적 격차가 인간 생활의 가치를 좌우하며 보수의 다소로 일의 가치를 평가하는 결과가 만들어진다.\u003cbr\u003e백인사회와 흑인사회의 계급적 차이는 더 이상 용납되어서는 안 된다.\u003cbr\u003e평등과 정의는 자유와 사랑이 있는 사회의 부산물일 수 있다.\u003cbr\u003e정의와 자유, 사랑은 인간 생존의 필수적인 가치이다.\u003cbr\u003e우리가 얻을 수 있는 결론은 사랑이 인간애의 경지에까지 도달하면 정의는 사랑을 요청하며, 자유는 자비와 사랑을 받아들인다.\u003cbr\u003e사랑의 나무는 자유와 평등의 열매를 함께 맺을 수 있기 때문이다.\u003cbr\u003e세계사의 저류(低流)를 찾아보면 휴머니즘은 출발이면서
