Introduction au livre
Le Goryeo Dogyeong est un rapport rédigé par Seo Geung, un envoyé de la dynastie Song, après sa visite à Goryeo en 1123 dans le cadre d'une mission visant à rapporter la vérité sur Goryeo à l'empereur.
Seo Geung a compilé les paysages de Goryeo qu'il a vus de ses yeux en les traduisant par écrit et en dessins.
Le Goryeo Dogyeong couvre tout ce qui concerne Goryeo, y compris son histoire avant et après la fondation de la dynastie Goryeo, la lignée royale, la ville de Gaeseong, la capitale de Goryeo, les palais royaux et les cours à l'intérieur du palais royal, les uniformes et les cérémonies officielles, les véritables détenteurs du pouvoir à Goryeo, les systèmes militaires tels que l'armée et les armes, les idéologies religieuses telles que le taoïsme et le bouddhisme, les systèmes de classes et fonciers, les coutumes et les besoins quotidiens du peuple Goryeo, et les navires et les techniques de navigation.
