Beginner-Intermediate Korean Writing for Foreigners
Description
Book Introduction
This book was written with the goal of covering the basics of writing and the format of writing by function before starting intermediate and advanced writing in 『Korean Writing Using Reading Text』.
I believe it is very important to provide easy access to writing, especially for learners whose skills are ambiguous between beginner and intermediate, and guide them to intermediate and advanced writing.
In that sense, I hope that this revised edition, with its richer problems and activities, will encourage foreign learners to write.

Publisher's Review
The intermediate and advanced writing book "Korean Writing Using Reading Text," published in early 2021, is currently being used as a liberal arts textbook in several universities.
I'm glad that I can help foreign learners, who face the double burden of lacking not only writing skills but also Korean language skills and background knowledge, to more easily approach writing.
This time, I'm writing beginner-intermediate writing for learners between beginner and intermediate levels.
This book is structured so that it starts with vocabulary association, which can be considered the basics of writing, and then moves on to sentence writing, paragraph writing, and functional writing.
Even students who have completed beginner and intermediate language courses are often awkward with sentence structures and make many errors.
Therefore, I believe that it is most important to learn and practice correct expressions before starting to write in earnest.
So, Part 1 of this book is designed to help you learn the basic sentences, which are the foundation of writing, and to build sentence structure.
Part 2 presents a step-by-step guide from composing paragraphs to writing short essays.
To write cohesive and rich writing, you need to be able to write good paragraphs.
In other words, a well-structured paragraph with a topic sentence and supporting sentences is the key to making a piece of writing valuable.
Therefore, through this lesson, learners will practice finding the topic sentence in a paragraph, writing supporting sentences based on the topic sentence, and organizing paragraphs to write short pieces.
Based on the basic writing skills learned in Parts 1 and 2, Part 3 allows you to write functionally.
First, learn the format and sentence structure of practical writing through reading texts.
And because it allows for writing in a step-by-step, expanded format, it will reduce the burden on learners.
I believe that by providing the vocabulary essential to each subject, you will be able to write richer content.
