Book Introduction
The contents of this book are the result of the authors' reflections on better teaching methods while teaching Korean to foreigners in the Korean language education field, and they also provide answers to unresolved problems in lectures or in students' questions.
The basis of this book is a compilation of materials from [Korean Language Education Practice] classes conducted over the past several years.

This book was written to provide practical assistance to all teachers and instructors in charge of the subject, field training leaders, and trainees for Korean language education practical classes, and was written by fully reflecting the contents of the National Institute of the Korean Language's 'Korean Language Education Practical Course Operation Guidelines (2017)'.
This book is for operating a Korean language education practical course consisting of a total of 15 lectures to fit the 15-week course.
In accordance with the National Institute of the Korean Language's guidelines for operating practical courses, the course consists of 9 hours of theoretical classes, 9 hours of observation classes, 24 hours of mock classes, and 3 hours of lecture practice, for a total of 45 hours.

Part 1 covers the theories and curriculum management necessary for Korean language education practice.


Part 2 provides specific instructions and sample lesson plans for writing mock lesson plans, and actual feedback is also provided so that students can practice writing lesson plans based on this.
The characteristics of lesson plans by stage, level, and area are covered, and lesson plan writing practice is provided.
We also provide a list of useful grammar points when writing lesson plans so that you can use them when practicing lesson plans.

Part 3 contains methods and precautions for conducting pre-lecture training for lecture observation, as well as sample teaching materials for writing lecture observation teaching materials.
Detailed instructions for conducting discussion classes after observing the lecture are also included.

Part 4 covers the process of conducting a mock class.
Contains practical operation methods and sample teaching materials for mock classes.
Additionally, a method of operating a pilot class that can be used as a final exam was presented.

Part 5 covers teaching practice and adds considerations for classroom management.
As an appendix, we have added a list of internationally accepted Korean language standard curricula and grammar, as well as a list of grammar from textbooks of major universities, for your reference.
We also provide written assessment and discussion materials that can be used for in-class discussions, semester assignments, or midterm exams.
