Anyone who has studied English through Midna Youngdro will know.
The actors' rapid lines are hard to hear, and even if I somehow manage to get hold of the script and read it, it's still not easy to understand.
I try to look up unfamiliar expressions in the dictionary, but most of the expressions I encounter in dramas are so everyday and conventional that even dictionaries and grammar books often fail to provide a good understanding of their contextual meaning.
This situation is a universal phenomenon in all languages, and foreign learners who want to enjoy Korean culture in real time through Korean dramas and learn Korean through K-dramas will undoubtedly also experience these difficulties.
This book was designed for learners who want to learn Korean through Korean dramas, and presents high-frequency everyday Korean expressions selected from each drama in dictionary format.

As can be seen from the title, “Real Korean Not in the Dictionary 2 - Hospital Playlist, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Crash Landing on You,” the features of this book can be summarized into the following three points.
First, the 100 expressions provided in this book are expressions that frequently appear in K-dramas and are used by Koreans as if they were eating rice, but are not found in existing dictionaries.
The headings in this book are dominated by phrases such as “Speak comfortably,” “That’s it,” “Just saying,” and “Catch me if you can.”
Therefore, these are expressions that cannot be resolved by searching existing textbooks or dictionaries.
Second, the vivid Korean expressions provided in this book are comprised of actual examples from recently aired dramas that are receiving a lot of attention overseas.
The researchers selected three top-rated K-dramas on platforms like Netflix and Weibo, and presented actual expressions and vivid examples from the dialogues in these dramas.
Third, this book was planned as a series publication, and is a sequel to 『Real Korean Not in the Dictionary 1 - Secret Forest, Descendants of the Sun, Goblin』, published in December 2020.
Through these books, the authors hope to help Korean language learners learn Korean language and culture through Korean drama expressions and enjoy K-dramas without subtitles.

The intended readers of this book are, first and foremost, intermediate and advanced Korean language learners who enjoy watching Korean dramas and want to learn Korean frequently used in daily life through them.
With this book, Korean language learners will be able to naturally acquire various Korean language expressions and culture through the medium of drama.
Additionally, learners will be exposed to a wealth of Korean vocabulary and grammar related to the expressions, as well as Korean culture and customs related to the discourse situation.
Teachers who want to teach Korean everyday expressions and culture by utilizing the drama's interesting storyline are also great potential readers of this book.
This book can be used as a textbook or supplementary material, and will especially contribute to the teaching and learning of Korean colloquial expressions.

This book was written with the passion of researchers who study corpus linguistics and lexicography and are also passionate fans of K-dramas.
This book came to light through the process of each writer watching, analyzing, and writing about their favorite dramas.
