The lantern that illuminates the dark path of culture

Nanta Performance, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in October 2010, is now leading the way in globalizing the Korean language.
Nanta is expanding into the world stage, achieving an incredible performance record of 15,457 domestic performances and 1,784 overseas performances.
But this time, Nanta started a new performance to introduce Korean culture and language to the world.
PMC, also known as the Song Seung-hwan Corps, and Beautiful Korean Language School, a publishing company specializing in Korean language education for foreigners, have joined hands to produce the Korean language textbook, “Learn Beautiful Korean with Nanta.”
Beautiful Korean Language School has planned a special book that utilizes Korean Wave cultural content, different from the existing Korean language series textbooks that start with the alphabet.
This book was written by Director Ahn Seong-hee and Senior Researcher Hwang Serena of the Korean Language Education Development Institute, and KBS voice actors participated in the recording, resulting in a more complete Korean language textbook.
It consists of 30 lessons in total, 10 of which introduce Korean culture (Korean greetings, hand taste, Samulnori, Cheongsa lantern, etc.).
In particular, the text, consisting of 20 chapters, contains vivid Nanta performance scenes, dialogues appropriate to the situation, and interesting Korean expressions.
The DVD included as an appendix at the back of the textbook contains the actors' wonderful voices that have never been heard in non-verbal plays before, as well as a video (making-of film) full of realism, which is expected to greatly stimulate readers' interest in the play as well as the Korean language.
Additionally, the wonderful images of the Nanta actors and humorous scenes inserted in the middle of the text are arranged like a pictorial, so it is expected to become the number one book that Nanta viewers will want to own.
