This textbook is a functional textbook developed for use in liberal arts Korean language courses for international students.
It was created to enhance reading skills and integrate reading with other skills, tailored to the level of international students entering at levels 3 and 4. It consists of the intermediate-level 'Reading 1' textbook and the advanced-level 'Reading 2' textbook.
This textbook is organized into units with reading topics of various genres to help international students taking university courses adapt well to university life and develop the basic skills necessary for attending lectures.


Each unit is composed of a pre-reading stage, a reading stage, and a post-reading stage, and is organized to utilize learners' background knowledge in terms of comprehension education and to connect this with writing.
It was developed to be used in Korean language courses for international students seeking academic study, but a separate 'Guide' section was included in the appendix to help international students study on their own.
The purpose of this textbook is to help international students improve their reading skills through a variety of reading materials and to gradually improve their reading skills through reading strategies.
