The "Beginner Korean" series, planned by the National Institute of the Korean Language, is a general-purpose textbook that can improve the speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills of Korean learners in various Korean language education environments, divided into textbooks by language function (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) among numerous Korean language textbooks.


As Korea's economic growth continues, the Korean Wave, which has been centered in Asia, has recently spread throughout the world, increasing foreigners' interest in the Korean language and culture.
The National Institute of the Korean Language published 『Beginner Korean (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing)』 in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Thai, and Filipino in 2008, and has now published a Russian version of the beginner Korean textbook after a long period of revision and supplementation to help Russian-speaking Korean learners.


"Beginner Korean" contains a variety of fun learning elements centered on topics closely related to real life, helping learners quickly become accustomed to Korean situations and communicate in Korean. It is a basic textbook that can be usefully utilized in Korean language education settings around the world.
