This textbook was developed as a "Korean for Academic Purposes" to systematically improve the Korean communication skills required for international students to achieve academic success in Korean undergraduate and graduate programs.
As the number of international students increases, the need for specialized textbooks for academic Korean language learners is growing.
This textbook differentiates itself from existing general Korean language textbooks by systematically presenting specialized vocabulary and expressions essential for covering academic topics, and supports international students in actively participating in classes at Korean universities.

Furthermore, it goes beyond mere theoretical learning and includes various examples and practical activities to cultivate the thinking and logical expression skills required in real-world academic environments, helping students communicate confidently in academic conversations.

In particular, this textbook provides practical guidance to help international students successfully adapt to academic and research at Korean universities and graduate schools, and was developed with the goal of systematic learning that comprehensively improves academic thinking and logical communication skills.
Through this, we aim to support international students to have a successful study abroad life in Korea.

『Korean Grammar and Expressions』 aims to present frequently used beginner and intermediate level grammar grouped by meaning.
It consists of a total of 13 weeks of classes, and each week presents 2-3 grammar sentences grouped by meaning to help students understand the meaning.
The purpose of this study was to present grammar with similar meanings so that the differences in meaning and usage of grammar can be understood.
Additionally, the practice of constructing sentences is divided into sentence practice and conversation practice to allow for a variety of practice.
And, by providing practical training that allows students to practice actual exam types, we have helped students gain confidence in taking the exam.


I hope that this textbook will help Korean language learners organize the meaning of grammar and improve their Korean fluency.
