YONSEI KOREAN for college students 102
Description
Book Introduction
This textbook series was developed with reference to the standard Korean language level of Yonsei University Korean Language Institute as well as the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and ACTFL grading system, so it can be appropriately used in various curricula of overseas universities and Korean language education institutions.
This textbook series is comprised of six levels for short-term beginner and intermediate courses, and each volume is less than 100 hours long, making it flexible enough to be applied to the course.
Frequently used sentence patterns and topic vocabulary in Korean daily life are systematically presented along with various problem-solving situations. For each unit, related Korean culture and local community-related assignment activities are suggested, so that students can simultaneously improve their Korean language skills and understand and participate in Korean culture.
For Korean language learners, it is designed to enable self-directed learning by providing practice problems for self-study and English translations of new vocabulary, grammar, conversation, reading, listening, and cultural texts for each unit.
In particular, it is designed to improve comprehension and expression skills in a short period of time by evenly distributing tasks that enable accurate and fluent learning of the four areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as well as vocabulary and grammar.

Commonly used sentence expressions in everyday life and practical problem-solving scenarios with various topic vocabulary are systematically presented.
Each unit is designed to incorporate Korean culture related to the topic and proposes collaborative community engagement activities to enable learners to improve their Korean language proficiency and, at the same time, have more opportunities to understand and participate in Korean culture.
For Korean language learners, self-study exercises and English translations of new vocabulary, grammar, dialogues, readings, listening materials, and cultural texts for each unit are included to encourage autonomous learning.
Tasks to strengthen not only vocabulary and grammar but also the four areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, are strategically placed to allow students to learn accurately and fluently, to ensure the enhancement of comprehension and expression within a short period.
