Into the book
The Say textbook was developed to improve the Korean language skills of international students studying at Korean universities.
This textbook is for international students who are having difficulty with university mathematics due to the Korean language being different from everyday life, students who aim to advance to a Korean university, and intermediate or higher level Korean learners who want to experience liberal arts classes at university.
"Korean for International Students: Strategic Reading and Writing" focuses on reading and writing skills essential for college mathematics.
While existing reading and writing textbooks separate reading and writing, focusing on a single topic and then writing about it, this textbook enhances learning efficiency by facilitating the acquisition of text types, structures, vocabulary, expressions, and strategies common to both reading and writing, as well as the topic itself.
And we provided ample practice opportunities so that you can organically apply what you have learned throughout the entire process of reading and writing.
Furthermore, by analyzing the content of liberal arts courses offered at domestic universities and organizing the textbook based on the results of a needs survey and educational appropriateness analysis targeting international students and Korean language teachers at universities in Seoul, we aimed to provide practical assistance in cultivating liberal arts knowledge and Korean reading and writing skills necessary for successful university studies.
I hope this textbook will be useful to international students, Korean language learners at home and abroad, and Korean language teachers.
