Book Introduction
This novel contains the love story of Chunhyang, the daughter of a gisaeng, and Mongryong, the son of the magistrate of Namwon.
The two promise to marry, but break up for a while.
Meanwhile, Byun Hak-do tells Chunhyang to follow him.
But Chunhyang does not follow Byeon Hak-do.
Chunhyang goes through all kinds of hardships and is even imprisoned to protect her love for Mongryong.
Mongryong returns after obtaining a government post and saves Chunhyang from danger.
Chunhyang's courageous actions are also known to the king.
The two people, who received the king's permission, got married despite their differences in social status and lived happily ever after.
