Book Introduction
『Research Trends and Tasks in Korean Language Education』 is an academic book on Korean language education, composed of 14 chapters, written by current and former executives and board members who are well-versed in each field of Korean language education and have dedicated themselves to our society.
The authors of this book wrote each chapter with the hope that it would help the next generation of researchers entering the field of Korean language education for the first time understand the current research trends in Korean language education and identify the remaining tasks for future research, thereby contributing to the maturation and advancement of research in key areas of Korean language education.
Starting with an understanding of Korean language education, the first half of the book covers macro topics such as curriculum and textbooks, teaching and learning methods, assessment, education by learning objectives, and teacher training, while the second half covers specific topics such as discourse, speech acts, spoken and written language functions, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and culture.
