A new, excellent communication-focused Korean language textbook developed by Ewha Womans University's Language Education Center!
『New Ewha Korean』 is a communication-focused Korean textbook newly developed by the Ewha Womans University Language Education Center, a leader in Korean language education. It maintains the unique characteristics of the Ewha Womans University Language Education Center, which are communication-centered learning and the integration of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while presenting more effective and diverse teaching methods and learning content.
Level 2 consists of a total of 12 subjects, with 2-1 containing subjects 1-6 and 2-2 containing subjects 7-12.
Each unit is further divided into three sub-units to allow sufficient practice of various functions on one topic, and a 'culture' section is included in each unit to allow students to look at the unique aspects of Korean culture and practice Korean once again while comparing it to the cultures of other countries.
Additionally, a 'Vocabulary and Expression Check' section is included at the end of each unit so that you can review the vocabulary and expressions you learned in that unit.
The listening materials have QR codes embedded in the relevant sections of the textbook so that learners can run them right away, and the listening materials can also be downloaded as mp3s from the Ewha Womans University Press website.

The features of the 『New Ewha Korean』 series can be explained in more detail as follows.
First, we reduced the emphasis on grammar and increased the emphasis on fun, practical communication tasks, thereby ensuring that the course content could be transferred to real life.
Second, the vocabulary, expressions, and grammar sections provide meaningful practice utilizing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in connection with each other, so that it goes beyond simply building language knowledge.
Third, speaking tasks were presented in a variety of ways, such as conversations, role-playing, and group activities, and with a variety of participants, to foster the ability to lead speaking while promoting balanced development of the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Fourth, by presenting tasks that link and integrate various language functions such as listening and speaking, reading and speaking, and reading and writing, the program was designed to closely link oral and written language learning.
Additionally, for the convenience of learners, Levels 1 and 2 will be produced in four versions: English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. In the future, the 『New Ewha Korean』 series will publish a total of 32 textbooks and workbooks from Levels 1 to 6.
