Publisher's Review
As the number of foreigners residing in Korea gradually increases and their nationalities diversify, Korea is gradually transforming into a multicultural society, and the importance of Korean language education for foreigners residing in Korea is gradually increasing.
Additionally, with the Korean Wave continuing worldwide, the enthusiasm for learning Korean both domestically and internationally shows no sign of cooling down.

In this context, the Catholic University of Korea Korean Language Education Center prepared to publish “OK Korean 2” in 2021, following the publication of “OK Korean 1” 10 years ago, which is necessary for the globalization of the university and the expansion of Korean language education.
Although Level 2 textbooks are already available, we are proud to say that this textbook has been developed with the utmost care to meet the diverse needs of learners.
To achieve this, the writing team put a lot of effort into applying a design thinking perspective to identify and reflect learners' needs from the planning stage.

It has been 15 years since the Catholic University of Korea Korean Language Education Center began offering Korean language education, and during this process, the university has accumulated significant capabilities in developing the future direction of Korean language education.
In the planning, writing, and publishing of this textbook, the efforts of Park So-yeon, a senior researcher at the Korean Language Education Center, Professor Ku Min-ji of the Department of Korean Language and Literature, and Ms. Ahn Hye-jin, also at the Korean Language Education Center, as well as current and former operational team leaders and staff, were greatly appreciated.

Although it may be a bit late, I am confident that this textbook will be tailored to the needs of Korean language learners, taking into account the unique characteristics of Catholic University and reflecting the rapidly changing times of Korean society.
We also hope that this textbook will be widely used not only at Catholic University but also at many universities pursuing internationalization, thereby contributing to Korean language education.

Above all, the most notable feature of this textbook is that it organizes Korean language in an easy and fun way, focusing on familiar, everyday topics, so that learners can immediately use Korean outside of the classroom, and it is also structured so that Korean teachers can teach easily and effectively.
Additionally, we have designed the language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing to be learned appropriately through each lesson in the textbook, so that students can develop the ability to solve various situations and problems encountered in daily life.
Another key feature of this textbook is its emphasis on visualizing and clarifying the content so that learners with low Korean proficiency can easily study on their own.
