Recently, as the scope of Korean language learning has expanded beyond Asia to encompass the entire world, the purposes of learning Korean have also become increasingly diverse.
Some people learn Korean simply as a hobby, while others hope to get a job at a Korean company after learning Korean.
There are also learners who want to pursue further academic study.
Regardless of the purpose of learning Korean, the most important thing adult learners should focus on when studying Korean is grammar.
Because speaking correct Korean requires an accurate understanding and use of grammar.
With that in mind, in 2015, I published "Easy-to-Understand Intermediate Korean Sentence Patterns" to help intermediate and higher learners learn sentence patterns.
And this time, we have published a textbook for beginners to help them understand and use grammar accurately from the basics.
I hope this will be of some help to beginner learners of Korean to understand and acquire the language more easily.

The features of this book, 'Easy to Understand Korean Sentence Patterns for Beginners', are summarized as follows.
First, we have summarized all the grammar points required for the beginner level.

Among the sentence patterns corresponding to the beginner level, 117 sentence patterns are presented in the order of verbs, adjectives, and nouns. In addition, irregular and unit nouns that are not sentence patterns but should be learned in the beginner course are presented in the appendix.

Second, an English translation is included.
Considering that beginner learners may not yet be familiar with Korean, we have provided English translations for all example sentences as well as explanations of the meaning of each sentence structure to make them easier to understand.

Third, we included changes in the conjugation of the mother verb.

Korean is a language with very complexly developed endings and particles, making it quite difficult for foreigners to learn.
So, to help you speak Korean correctly from the early stages of learning, we have organized the usage by part of speech and tense into a table.
Fourth, similar sentence patterns were compared.
One of the difficulties foreign learners face in learning Korean is that as they move from beginner to intermediate level, similar grammar items increase in number, making it difficult to properly understand the subtle differences in meaning and grammatical restrictions.
So, from the beginner level, we have explained in as much detail as possible the differences between similar sentence structures and used them to help you understand them clearly through examples.
Fifth, we provided sentence patterns related to the relevant sentence pattern.
We have tried to increase the efficiency of learning by providing references to sentence patterns that you should know while studying the relevant sentence patterns.

Sixth, we have included practice problems.

To help students check their own understanding of the sentence structures they have learned, we have divided the practice problems into four types.
