500 Korean Paper Expressions
This book was designed to help international students overcome difficulties associated with the format of their theses and the discourse styles and expressions associated with theses.
To this end, we analyzed a corpus of papers collected from various fields, including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, medicine, arts, and physical education, and extracted 500 frequently used paper expressions in all fields, regardless of major.
And then, the list extracted in this way was classified according to the movement clause of the paper and the sub-steps that make up each movement clause, and then arranged according to the structure of the paper, which progresses into an introduction, main body, and conclusion.
In addition, when writing the content corresponding to each movement phrase, the characteristics of frequently used paper expressions are presented along with the content that must be included, and examples of various topics are presented for each paper expression to easily understand the typical usage.
This allows international students to easily learn and use not only the expressions typically used in theses, but also the characteristics of the discourse style that a theses should have as an academic text.
