Multicultural Society and Korean Language Education
Multicultural Society and Korean Language Education
Description
Book Introduction
Recently, with the rapid increase in the number of foreigners residing in Korea, there are open claims that our country has entered a multicultural society.
And, as if to support this, the terms multicultural family, multicultural family, and multicultural education are frequently used.
In fact, it has become common to see immigrants coming from foreign countries and becoming members of our society.
The multicultural society that has naturally emerged with the increase in immigrants in our society is undoubtedly a change of the times that will bring dreams and happiness to all who participate.

This book is a compilation of the author's experiences and knowledge gained over the past ten years through observing Korean language education for immigrants, pondering key issues in Korean language education for them, and discussing with government officials who formulate and implement Korean language education policies for immigrants. This compilation was published in academic journals.

As this is a collection of articles written over the past ten years, some statistics and terms may be outdated, and the results of some discussions may have already changed over time.
However, it may be helpful in understanding the overall flow of the discussion, as it was conducted during a period when immigration was increasing.
