Under the awareness that foreign languages ​​should be learned with standard pronunciation, while people are indifferent and careless about the standard pronunciation of their native language, 『Theory and Practice of Korean Pronunciation』 organized Korean pronunciation for foreigners.

This book, compiled to highlight the importance of standard pronunciation and to help those who wish to learn it, was first published as a small booklet in early 1984 as educational material for the phonetics seminar held annually by the Korean Phonetic Society. It has been expanded and published every year since then, but has been distributed primarily to members of the society.
Now that awareness and need for standard pronunciation are growing, it will be of real help to foreigners who want to learn Korean.
