《COOL TOPIKⅡ Intermediate Vocabulary》 is a book that was created while thinking about how Korean language learners preparing for the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) can learn TOPIK vocabulary more easily and conveniently.
Vocabulary textbooks for learners preparing for the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) have been published consistently for the past 20 years, but excluding textbooks for vocabulary and grammar before 2014, there are not many books published in the form of vocabulary lists, considering the number of test takers that is increasing day by day.
A vocabulary list should allow learners to check unfamiliar vocabulary while preparing for exams, while also having all the functions of a vocabulary textbook.
Along with this, the most important thing the writers considered was that learners should be able to consistently use the vocabulary list, and that learners should be able to visually check the words they need to know first.

Based on 35 sets of questions from the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) that have been made public, the Korean Language Proficiency Test Center of the National Institute for International Education has extracted the frequency of intermediate vocabulary in the TOPIK vocabulary list and included vocabulary that appeared more than 5 times, allowing learners to prioritize learning high-frequency vocabulary.
