The magic of living room study
Description
Book Introduction
A smart child's home is different from the living room onward.
Let's make the living room, the family's living space, the birthplace of intellectual curiosity that will become the foundation for lifelong learning!

- 'How convenient would it be if children could cultivate intellectual curiosity from an early age, allowing them to enjoy and accept diverse knowledge on their own?'
"What if children become familiar with picture books, maps, and dictionaries from a young age, playing with them like toys? Then, they'll become strong allies as they grow up."

This book began with this thought.
Of course, this book aims to develop 'study skills', but it is by no means a 'strict study guide'.
It can be said to be a play-based learning book that suggests a way to 'play' and 'enjoy' to one's heart's content by placing an encyclopedia, map, and dictionary in the living room where the whole family gathers and taking them out whenever a question arises.
But why an illustrated guide, a map, and a dictionary? The more you look at an illustrated guide, the more your child's curiosity expands and information is absorbed. Maps expand a child's world, previously confined to their immediate surroundings. And dictionaries are tools for enhancing language comprehension.
If you use these three items simultaneously, such as looking at an encyclopedia, then looking at a map or dictionary, using a map as an opportunity to look through a dictionary and encyclopedia, and then looking at a dictionary, then looking at a map and encyclopedia, not only will your child's study skills become more diverse and enriched, but the foundation for them to naturally grow into a convergence-type genius will also be gradually built.

So why the living room? Wouldn't it be better to decorate the child's room as a study room? In fact, until elementary school, not many children sit quietly in their own rooms and study.
The living room, where mom is there and dad can play together, is the best place for a child to satisfy his intellectual curiosity.
The greatest strength of this book is that it includes specific methods for utilizing the guide, maps, and dictionary, as well as ways to connect children's curiosity with the guide, maps, and dictionary, ways to respond to children's actions and words, and even a list of books recommended by a parenting expert, so anyone can use it.
However, to make this book useful and enjoyable, you must remember the following three points.

First, you should not feel burdened by the methods introduced in this book or try to force yourself to practice them as if it were homework.
This is because children instinctively know whether their parents are playing with them out of obligation or because they genuinely enjoy it.
It is recommended to use this book leisurely with the thought that 'I am able to gain new knowledge and have fun with my child while playing comfortably.'
Second, you should not ask questions like, “I read it before, why don’t you remember it?” or ask questions like a test to see if they remember the contents of the book.
Then, even the interest that was budding in the children's hearts tends to disappear.
Rather than thinking about teaching children, it is better to look at books and maps together and learn together.
Third, the time a child's curiosity lasts is very short.
However, don't miss the moment when your child asks, "What is this?" and speak to him or her in a way that makes him or her want to find out for himself or herself.
Although we live in an age where everything is solved with smart devices, if you satisfy your child's curiosity by using the methods suggested in this book to open picture books, maps, and dictionaries, your child's learning ability will grow rapidly.
