Description
Book Introduction
“That sentence saved my life!”
The first essay and English transcription therapy by Sejin, a star English instructor and YouTube creator with 260,000 subscribers.
Sejin, a YouTuber and English education expert, gained much attention by revealing her ADHD symptoms and the pain of being bullied during her school days through the TV program "Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center."
Numerous subscribers sent messages of support and encouragement after seeing the painful confessions and experiences of the star English instructor, who always showed off her fluent English skills with a bright and cheerful demeanor.
And she received requests from numerous parents and students who sympathized with her story and asked her to write a book.
Just as English became a refuge and a ray of hope for him in moments of pain and difficulty, the author says that studying English and life have a lot in common.
For those who are constantly experiencing frustration and failure in their English studies, as in life, he has published his first essay and handwritten English book, carefully selecting handwritten phrases that have provided comfort and inspiration along with genuine motivational messages from his own life experiences.
I hope this book will be a source of strength for everyone who experiences difficult times at least once. I encourage you to personally experience, enjoy, and appreciate the power of famous English quotes from classics that offer comfort and courage in life when you feel anxious and shaken.

Into the book
I hesitated a lot before writing this article, which is the first time I can honestly tell my story.
But in the end, I was convinced that these were words that someone needed.
As I navigate life, the thing that has helped me the most in moments of urgency and desperation is to keep a book I enjoyed reading by my side and to write down the passages in a notebook over and over whenever I'm having a hard time.
After living in society for over 10 years, I have come to rely on and seek out notebooks and pens more and more.
I have come to experience the true power of desperation more deeply.
I would like to introduce a collection of hand-written sentences that have inspired my life, as I have gained strength and been able to get back on my feet through the many words I encountered in the classics.
--- p.11
For a child with ADHD, things like honesty and sociability were luxuries they couldn't even dare to desire.
I didn't even know what was bothering me so much until I became an adult and went to a psychiatrist on my own and was diagnosed with severe ADHD and panic disorder.
Why can't I listen calmly like the other kids in class, but instead, I'm preoccupied with doodling? Why have I never received a grade on those simple performance assessments that require just gathering and submitting handouts like everyone else? Why can't I get along with my friends? Why do the motor in my head and the fire in my chest keep tormenting me without a moment's rest?
--- p.49
The 'stay awake during class' practice I had been practicing for a long time started to take effect around that time.
Not only English classes, but also subjects like literature and modern and contemporary history began to gradually enter my ears.
Am I a kid who can do it? Is it okay if I face it, don't give up, and challenge myself? As I began to gain momentum, I began to vaguely realize this.
Achievement is the accumulation of time, and failure is defined by when I stop accumulating it.
Whether I failed or not was entirely up to my choice.
--- p.109
Suddenly, it occurred to me that the hardships I had experienced in life were not entirely unfortunate.
Rather, I wondered if all of that had been a stroke of luck for me. Because of ADHD, I'd been struggling with it since I was a child, constantly immersed in things and living in states of inattention.
I had emotional ups and downs and collapsed countless times, but I struggled to get back up each time.
The habit of relying on a schedule to get through each day.
My tendency to seek fulfillment as if it were an obsession.
These are the things that ultimately made me a person who never gives up, and this time was no different.
--- pp.162-163
Everyone has times in life when they want to go to a place they've always dreamed of.
When someone encounters such a moment in life, I thought that if there was something I could do for them, it would be 'English'.
I also wanted to be a member of society and help others.
All I had to do was create an elaborate ladder for them to climb up that one step.
Once I realized what the most valuable thing I could do was, I couldn't stop.
The ripple effect of the teaching that started by chance was that great.
In their shining eyes, I saw the eighteen-year-old me I so desperately wanted to hold hands with.
But in the end, I was convinced that these were words that someone needed.

√ Self-development essay on overcoming painful experiences and growing up
In this book, the author honestly reveals the painful stories of his past, which he had to endure since childhood without even knowing the exact diagnosis.
She was always mistaken for being a rich girl who studied abroad, but in reality, she had ADHD, anxiety disorder, and learning disabilities, so she had a difficult time during her school days.
I wanted to tell the honest story of how I, who was such a loser, came to love English, how I used that as a breakthrough to become famous and successful as an English instructor, how I overcame the moment when I felt like I was at rock bottom and created another opportunity, and I wanted to tell the story of what I couldn't say in the broadcast, without holding back.
√ A transcription book that explains famous quotes from classics in easy English.
The author confesses that during the difficult times when he was always alone, the thing that gave him the most comfort was 'books'.
I have transcribed famous quotes from classics that have helped me get back on my feet whenever I was having a hard time and have become my will and method in life.
By following the sentences that resonate with your heart, you can study English and grow your mind. It is structured to ① look into yourself (지地), ② realize the opportunities that come to you (천天), and ③ act and make efforts (인人).
The Eastern philosophy sentences are written in their original form, but are translated into easy English sentences with the same meaning, so even beginners can read and enjoy them without difficulty.
From essays to English transcriptions, from motivation to comfort…
English transcription classes to help you meet your true self during difficult times
A life journal that teaches you how to not lose yourself in the midst of chaos.
“I was able to overcome many adversities, so I am sure you can overcome them too.
“Just by reading and following my story, you will receive motivation and comfort that goes beyond just learning English.”
The author hopes that this book will be a book that everyone can read at a difficult and challenging time.
Just as 'books' and 'English' became the tools that shaped his life, he took courage in the hope that his story, which could have been considered a shameful one as an English teacher, might be of help to someone else.
In the middle of each essay, he introduces famous quotes that changed his life and gave him enlightenment in moments of urgency and desperation. He also helps readers grow physically and mentally by copying these sentences themselves, based on anecdotes of overcoming crises.
This book has been completed with a 'four-season binding' so that you can conveniently take it out and use it anytime, anywhere, and it also has a space where you can copy and write down the sentences you have learned in cursive.
As the author said, writing can be the beginning of change and another form of reading.
As you write down the sentences, you will be able to internalize their meaning in your subconscious, and it will become your own personal record notebook that helps you meet your true self in difficult times.
Not only will it help you overcome your fear of English, but it will also serve as more than just a learning tool, providing comfort, motivating you to make small changes, and laying the foundation for your inner growth.
“If you write, you will see yourself, and if you know yourself, you will not be shaken.”
