Into the book
After much thought, I found the answer.
It was detox.
It is about setting up our body's 'detox system'.

Of course, it is absolutely not true that all illnesses will disappear just because the detox system is intact.
But the longer I spent observing patients, the more certain I became.
The truth is that a person who does not detox can never be healthy.
It is like a wheel with a stone stuck in it that cannot roll without removing the stone.
Detox is a 'necessary prerequisite' for a healthy life.

Plants contain ingredients that have special effects on our bodies.
We call these 'phytochemicals', and each vegetable has its own special phytochemicals.
Cruciferous vegetables in particular have special phytochemicals, including sulforaphane, which is involved in cancer prevention, inflammation reduction, and antioxidant action.


In addition, there is one more special ability that I would like to emphasize in this book.
It promotes the production of glutathione, which helps eliminate toxins from our body.

In our bodies, which are made up of cells, small thorns are always being created.
These tiny thorns are called 'active oxygen species', which are substances that are inevitably created when cells create energy.
These thorns are the main culprits that reduce cell function and cause aging.


This is where the detox system comes into play.
The detox system protects our body from these thorns.
It detoxifies external and internal toxins and eliminates active oxygen to protect our body.
What if the detox system isn't functioning properly? Undetoxified toxins, both internal and external, generate more reactive oxygen species within cells, disrupting the proper functioning of the systems responsible for processing these oxygen species.
In this situation, cells undergo rapid functional decline.
The rate of this decline in function is what determines the 'rate of aging'.

The most important of the above functions is ‘stomach acid’.
So what we're going to do in step one is help the stomach produce enough stomach acid and help the stomach maintain a proper 'acidic environment'.

The principle is simple.
First, it is ultimately the cells in the stomach that make stomach acid.
