Easy reform that makes anyone a hand of God
Description
Book Introduction
So that discarded clothes do not swallow the earth
An easy reform class that anyone can easily start and enjoy.
I opened my own repair shop.
Did you know that 33 billion pieces of clothing are thrown away every year?
Even as debates about pollution and climate change have faded from the table, the land and sea beneath our feet are being polluted and winter is disappearing.
Even as we take a brief breather from the daily life we have so painstakingly regained, viruses we never imagined are emerging.
It's all due to severe environmental pollution and worsening climate change.
And at the center of this environmental pollution is ‘discarded clothing.’
About 100 billion pieces of clothing are produced each year, of which 33 billion are thrown away or incinerated.
Up to 2,700 liters of water are used to make one T-shirt.
This leads to serious water pollution, and the production process generates up to 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
In addition, 19,000 tons of microplastics from discarded clothing each year cause ocean pollution and eventually end up on our dinner tables.
The single outdated T-shirt we throw away today has a butterfly effect, threatening our health, our family's health, and even the survival of the planet.
Our small, everyday actions of mindlessly throwing out clothes that don't fit or are out of style and shopping for new clothes we like are pushing us to a terrifying cliff we've never experienced before.
Unless we change our perceptions and behaviors about discarded clothing, terrible experiences like the pandemic will repeat themselves.

In Europe, steps have already begun to be taken to rectify the situation before it is too late.
Even in France, the birthplace of fashion, the government directly supports the cost of used clothing.
The cost of repairing used clothes over a five-year period amounts to approximately 219 billion won.
Additionally, clothing is classified as a 'producer responsibility recycling system item' and producers are fined when clothing inventory is disposed of.
Along with these government efforts, unlike in our country, a 'reform fever' is currently blowing in Europe.
As more and more institutions are created that study and professionally teach reform, it is becoming a new trend to reform outdated clothes that are no longer wearable and turn them into items that you need or alter them to suit your taste.
Reflecting this European atmosphere, the author's reform channel is also receiving enthusiastic support and encouragement from European viewers, receiving full support and encouragement every time.
This book contains only the author's 'reform essence'.
For readers in Korea, where there are still few institutions that specialize in teaching reform techniques or training educators, we have detailed reform methods for mending old clothes and turning them into new clothes and items that suit your taste.
We introduce the reform process in as much detail as possible so that you can feel the joy of reforming by cutting and sewing with your own hands, and we also include reforms using various items such as 'pants that don't fit', 'out-of-season outerwear', 'towels received as gifts', 'stretched knits', and 'old boots'.
This book is not only for learning about reform and getting started in Korea, a reform wasteland, but also for mastering difficult applied reform.
