The Beautiful Temple Sites: Gangwon-do and Gyeongsang-do
Temple Sites, Their Beautiful Atrocities: Gangwon-do and Gyeongsang-do
Description
Book Introduction
I have compiled a record of my sincere exploration of the temple site, where only the foundation stone and the foundation stone remain, into text and photos.
The first volume, 'Gangwon-do and Gyeongsang-do Edition', contains 25 temple sites in Gangwon-do and Gyeongsang-do, selected and supplemented from among the 41 representative abandoned temple sites that were serialized weekly under the same title in the Buddhist Newspaper from March 2005 to December 2005.

In every empty temple site, the author was captivated by the loneliness of the deserted place, and so he would stay in one place from dawn until late at night, sometimes even staying up all night.
What was it about the temple site that so captivated the builder?
The temple site, deserted of even human presence and filled with silence, was the perfect space for contemplation, and it is said that the leisure and freedom felt there allowed one to discover fleeting beauty that others had not seen.

The 218 photographs in this book are invaluable, as they were taken at each temple site in different seasons, after frequent visits and long waits.
There is no need to describe the beauty of these photographs, captured with a mind that pursues enlightenment.

At the end of the book, there is a guidebook that provides helpful directions for those who wish to visit the ruins. Lee Ji-nu's work, which began in October 2004, will continue in the future, with the second volume, "Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, and Jeolla-do," and the third volume, "Gyeongju," scheduled to be published in succession.
