The most active artists in Korea's comics and webtoon world have come together in one book. As the name of the series, 'Young Cartoonists' Theme Short Story Collection' suggests, young cartoonists, each creating their own unique world of work, freely drew short stories centered around a common theme. There aren't many places where you can see short stories by cartoonists who are publishing and serializing their works, focusing on long-form works on webtoon platforms. Short stories are a field where the creator's individuality and imagination are fully revealed, something that cannot be experienced in long stories. A collection of short stories themed by young cartoonists offers an opportunity to experience a narrative charm different from that of long stories. The stories of six authors who meet in one book are all different genres, including martial arts, dystopia, fantasy, youth, and drama. AJS's "The Case of the Disappearance of the Land Documents in Gayari, Haman-gun," which draws from his childhood experiences, and Kim Yi-rang's "When the Wind Blows," which captures the moment of growth of the immature "us," offer a glimpse into the warm world of works that the two authors have created. Authors Golwang and Jaryong, who are currently serializing school novels, have attempted a new martial arts genre through “Yasa,” thereby expanding the diversity of their works. "The Smile of the Quiet World" by Dr. Gosari, which has a refreshing twist, and "From Death" by Bones, Blood, and Flesh, which can be considered a fairy tale for adults, show a unique atmosphere and completeness that is only possible in the limited space of a "short story."
