This is the comic book [Hell], a collaboration between writer Choi Gyu-seok of [Awl] and director Yeon Sang-ho of [Train to Busan].
Even before the webtoon was completed, the webtoon was picked up by Netflix, and the original book, which will be adapted into a film starring actors Yoo Ah-in, Park Jung-min, and Kim Hyun-joo, is receiving love calls from all over the world, as well as the anticipation for the Netflix original series scheduled to air in the second half of 2021.

Futabasha, a traditional manga publisher that published Crayon Shin-chan in Japan, has already purchased the Japanese rights to Hell, and Dark Horse Comics, a leading American graphic novel publisher known for original works such as Hellboy and Sin City, as well as licensed publishers of Star Wars and Avatar, will be in charge of publishing worldwide in English-speaking countries.
The copyright was then exported to France, Taiwan, and Brazil, proving the potential for globalization of Korean comics.
To commemorate the completion of 『Hell』, Volume 2 includes previously unpublished color illustrations by artist Choi Gyu-seok, vividly depicting a demonstration scene of hell and monsters arriving in the heart of Seoul.

Publisher's Review
Where people's desires, needs, and individual justice collide
Hell is born!

Director Yeon Sang-ho, who overwhelms viewers with spectacular narratives and outrageous imagination, and writer Choi Kyu-seok, who is armed with deep narratives and dialogues as well as drawings that Director Bong Joon-ho praised as having "reached the realm of genius," collaborated on the comic book "Hellbound," which has garnered attention from the first volume for its shocking setting and drawings.
One day, in the middle of Seoul, a person appears who receives a 'hell notice'.
The unidentified entity tells the target their 'name, the fact that they are going to hell, and the time left before going to hell', and then disappears.
When the time for the announced demonstration arrives, the messengers of hell will inevitably storm in and tear the target to pieces, killing them and burning them to death.
The person who prophesied and interpreted all of this, Chairman Jeong Jin-su of the New Truth Society—where he suddenly disappeared, the gates of hell, the second world, opened.
Under the plan and control of Kim Jong-chil, who became the second chairman of the New Truth Society, the 'hell created by humans' is being completed more stubbornly in order to avoid the hell of the gods.

Meanwhile, an incident occurs where a two-day-old newborn receives a notice.
Those who seek to conceal the newborn's knowledge, those who wish to believe that the newborn is guilty, those who wish to relay the newborn's demonstration—hell is born where people's desires and needs, and their uncompromising justice, collide.

“Song So-hyun…’s… baby…
You… will go to hell at 9:30 PM in three days.”

Before that happened, the world was ok.
Sometimes, people who seemed normal would receive a warning and fall into hell, and sometimes, a horrific disaster would occur where people would be torn apart and burned, or in this world, something called a "demonstration," and people would be shocked for a moment, click their tongues, or sigh at the fact that they were not the target of the demonstration, but it was nothing serious.
This has long been the law of the world.

People live well even in hell.
This perfect and just world begins to crack when a two-day-old newborn baby, still unnamed but nicknamed 'Tuntuni', begins receiving warnings from the incubator.

The New Truth Society, which governs the laws and daily life of hell, falls into a state of panic, and the underground organization 'Sodo', which opposes the New Truth Society, seeks an opportunity to counterattack.
Meanwhile, 'Tuntun's' mom and dad receive a shocking proposal.

In order to regain justice and power in the New Truth Society, the demonstration and death of a newborn must be broadcast live to everyone to clearly show that the world is wrong.
Is that really true? Is my child's death worth exchanging for worldly justice? What choice will the baby's parents make in the face of this proposition? And will this comic, whose title proclaims "hell," ultimately unfold before readers the unbearable sight of "the death of a newborn"?

“I don’t know anything grand like that.
I'm just trying to protect my family.
"What makes you different from the Saejinrihoe? You're all trying to exploit our baby's death." _Bae Young-jae, Tuntun's father

"Youngjae... what's wrong? What did I do wrong? If it's not my fault... then was it Tuntun's fault? I can't even think about it... what's inside that tiny thing... did it receive a warning the moment it was born... Youngjae, please... what's wrong with me... every moment I think about this, I feel terrible..." _Tuntun's mother, Song So-hyun

As the baby's mother and father resist this unjust disaster, become afraid, ask for help to protect the baby, go mad together, and then find courage again, readers also go through heaven and hell.
In 'Hell', a beautiful and mysterious being like an angel appears and announces the terrible misfortune of 'You will go to hell', and violent demons appear and tear people's bodies to pieces, but even the demons do not touch those who are not 'sinners' even a little.

In the world of "Hell," what is good and what is evil are intricately intertwined, and the yearning for grand justice and simple happiness intersect, with the narrative constantly changing from one twist to the next without a moment to look away.

“Babies cry when something feels even slightly wrong with their bodies, right? Because they’re hungry… because they’re sleepy… because they’re hot… because they’re cold… because crying is all they can do… so they use that to communicate, right? But all those cries are just one kind of message.
Please save me… I want to keep living, so please do something about me…
This is my first time.
“It’s the first time someone has asked me for help so strongly… someone has told me that it has to be me.”

And with the baby's cries, the promised day of demonstration finally arrives.

“I think everyone thought the same thing.
'What is this baby's sin?'
But as we all know, the baby is not guilty.
We have become people who find fault even in babies.”

At the end, the authors suddenly ask a question to the readers who have enjoyed the thrills, twists, and pleasures of this perfect hell.

From the beginning of its serialization, "Hell" has garnered attention for its surreal and bold setting and captivating story that leaves one unable to even predict its ending.
But when you close the book, you will come to a chilling realization along with the afterimage of the snowstorm pouring down in the last scene.
All of these complex and shocking stories were ultimately meant to ask us, living in this hell called the present world, one unforgettable question.

"Hell" was selected as an excellent comic book of 2020 by the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, a selection of approximately 1,700 comic books published throughout the year, based on comprehensive criteria such as completeness, artistry, and popularity.
This terrifying original comic, which has received unprecedented rave reviews both domestically and internationally, is being prepared for publication by leading comic book publishers worldwide, and has already been picked up by Netflix, a dinosaur in the global content industry, will now be completed with your answer.
