Into the book
Forest Tori knows even without learning.
Just as a tree grows toward the light without being taught, a forest squirrel learns what it must do on its own.
--- pp.11~12

“Mr. Chodori, do you know why the Umhaha Valley is called the Umhaha Valley?”
Kongjwi continued to talk, giggling to herself.
“That’s because sometimes I hear laughter coming from the valley.”
--- p.38

“There are all kinds of things in this forest.”
As soon as those words were out, three bright blue eyes appeared in the shade of the tree.
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, the sharp eyes stared at me.
--- pp.52~53

What if it's a real goblin?
Chodori touched the top of his head.
I had a feeling.
I have a feeling we'll meet again soon.
Chodori's premonitions were never wrong.
--- p.55

'Can I handle that terrifying goblin?'
At that moment, the image of the leaf soldiers hanging on to the tree with tears dripping down their faces came to mind.
'Go get the errand boy!'
'Please save me!'
--- pp.109~110

Publisher's Review
You were attacked by a ferocious leaf? You were eaten by a goblin?
When that happens, call me.

“Help me, Chodori!”

Chodori is a forest steward who takes care of the forest.
When the forest children turn nine, they leave their hometown to find their own forest.
Chodori set out, brimming with anticipation, only to find himself in a strangely mysterious goblin forest! Fur-clad trees, trembling fruits that seemed to have hearts, and even a three-eyed creature glaring from the darkness…
For the timid Chodori, this forest is stress itself.
Chodori is worried about whether he will be able to take good care of the forest or even survive here.
Moreover, from the first day, guests come and pester you to do them favors.
Forest acorns can do anything, right? They want everything: save a friend who was eaten by a goblin, give them lots of acorns to eat, and more.
But, because his love for the forest is greater than anything else, Chodori packs his bags and leaves home today as well.
With worn-out tools and a vial of magical potion, I hope to somehow solve the problem.

Trees, flowers, squirrels, snails… all the members of the forest are friends!
The more you hold hands, the more fun it becomes

The first guest to come to Chodori is Kongjwi, a squirrel with great strength.
Kongjwi's wish is to eat as much of her favorite acorns as she wants.
What seemed like an easy request grows into a noisy commotion when Molangko, a snail that can guess a person's personality by smell, leaf soldiers who look the same whether they are upside down or upside down, and a owl that looks like an owl but has a snake-like neck join in.
Chodori reconciles the bean sprouts and leaf soldiers who are growling over the acorns, and protects the peace of the forest by dealing with the owl that swallowed the bean sprouts in order to take over the sun's spot.
Chodori's trustworthy cornerstones are his uniquely crafted tools and the courage to pull together friends for their own good! His openness to strangers and warm embrace bring the uniquely quirky Dokkaebi Forest friends together.
It is heartwarming to see beings who did not get along and lived separately gradually become closer and share their hearts.
Let's watch how Chodori transforms the dark and gloomy Goblin Forest into a space that no one cares about.

Welcome to the Goblin Forest!
A world like summer vacation, bustling and full of fun every day

The Goblin Forest is full of strange things, such as mushrooms large enough to be used as chimneys, seeds that grow into trees overnight when planted in the ground, and acorn jelly that escapes from containers.
In addition, common things we see but pass by, such as acorns, leaves, and dandelions, add unexpected fun and magically transform everyday scenery.
Author Borin has created a fascinating world that harmoniously blends reality and fantasy with his dense imagination.
Artist Bamko's lovely and lively illustrations also make the world of Chodori and her friends feel familiar.
The story is followed by a hidden picture puzzle, a letter from Chodori, and a forest observation notebook, making reading a game.
Let's follow the path to find acorn jelly hidden deep inside the house, write letters to friends, and observe plants.
After playing around for a while, you will soon become a part of the goblin forest.
