Into the book
Muji, Makji is a goblin that has transformed into a full-blown goblin.
What is a glue stick? In the old days, doors were made by applying glue to wooden door frames and paper. A glue stick is a small broom used to apply glue to the paper.
--- p.13
“I’m going to chase after one of the kids who comes here today and play a goblin prank on him.
“Until I faint from fear.”
The two faced each other and practiced their scary expressions.
Then, as the viewing time approached, each of us was taken in by a goblin model that looked exactly like us.
--- p.21
“Look at him.
I think I'm completely out of my mind.
"Sir, you're not a ghost, are you? Kim Woojin, the ghost."
Woojin glared at Taeho.
Taeho wrapped his arm around Woojin's shoulder and whispered in his ear.
“If you have something to say, say it! You can’t even say a word.”
Woojin lowered his head and clenched his fists.
--- p.25
Makji clenched his fist and spoke with determination.
“I will definitely return as a scary goblin!”
He added in a tone of utter seriousness.
“Me too!”
The two left Ghost Village on that road.

Publisher's Review
The reckless goblins Muji and Makji
Ghost Village Move-in Challenge
Author Hong Min-jeong's imaginative new book, "Sticker Goblin Muji Makji," has been published.
A fluttering cloak around his neck, a turban around his waist, a goblin's club woven into his hand, and a mysterious sticker on his hat! The goblin with extraordinary strength and talent, the stickers that can cast spells, and the spooky scenes of the Ghost Village are all delicately realized by artist Ha Min-seok's fingertips.
I'm going to be the scariest goblin in the world!
Long ago, a small broom used to apply paper to a door was called a 'pulbi'.
The two old grasses became 'Muji' and 'Makji' respectively.
Although they both became goblins at the same time, they are little goblins who have nothing in common. Muji is plump, loves to eat, and has a soft heart, while Makji has a slender appearance, is deep-thinking, and is smart.
The place they live is an amusement park called 'Ghost Village', and although people don't know it, all kinds of ghosts, including a gumiho, an egg ghost, and a grim reaper, reside here and there.
The ghosts living in Ghost Village change their places for the year based on their scariest rankings, and each time, Muji and Makji take last place and only guard the entrance.
After not being invited to the forty-ninth anniversary banquet, the goblins make a decision.
I'm leaving this place and becoming the scariest goblin in the world, and I'm going to attend the fiftieth anniversary party with a proud look!
Sticker and goblin prank
Muji and Makji stop by a souvenir shop to find a sticker with their image on it, then recall Taeho teasing Woojin during the day and head straight to Taeho's house.
The first attempt to tease Taeho, who was dreaming for a long time, ends in failure when he catches the eye of his dog, Doori. However, when Taeho is seen bullying Woojin at school, he immediately starts playing a goblin prank on him.
What exactly is the goblin prank being waged by Muji and Makji, and what role do the stickers play? The lively imagination of Hong Min-jeong, a goblin, unfolds in a bizarre way.
Fear in children's hearts
I used to think that ignorance and blindness were the primal fears that startle and make you scream, but as I look into the relationships between Woojin, Taeho, and Mingyu, my thoughts begin to change little by little.
Watching Woojin finally confess to Taeho that he was scared and felt alienated, ashamed, and lonely, it makes you realize that protecting children's fears is truly meaningful.
If a friend in our class comes to mind, I hope I can be a little kinder and more affectionate to that friend tomorrow.
I really hope that thanks to you all, the classroom will be filled with affection.
_From the author's note
Author Hong Min-jeong uses the perspectives of ignorance and blindness to encourage young readers to examine and reflect on friendships from an objective standpoint.
He gives subtle advice to all young readers, saying that it would be good to become friends who warmly comfort each other's hearts and consider each other's thoughts.
The goblin story, which was thought to be creepy, actually has the author's affectionate heart underlying it.
